Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
Acutally, I personally feel we should double the salary of everyone on the defense. Including Blache. I mean, they have to watch our offense struggle, and then they go out on the field and...they just look like a team who has somewhere better to be. If we just upped their salary, we could pay them to make football the most important thing during the game.

The defense is light years ahead of the offense. Last year you could blame the line. The line has been fine so far. How do the defense or offense stay focused when the head man should be replaced by the special teams coach. I hate the owner but I feel bad for every one of those players. |

But when our defense performs even competently, we usually win. Go figure. Maybe this has never, ever been about the offense.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
Im sorry but our D line did jack fkcing shit today. No pressure, give the rook all day to find Calvin Johnson. D looked awful, and dont even get me started on our "stud" rook d-end/LB Orakpo. So far, he has done nothing at ALL.
Blech.

To that point the Redskins Head Coach allowed that TD to, happen first by going for it on 4th down and second by not taking the stop on third down and accepting the offensive pass interference call. I know that hind sight is 20/20 but why not play good smart football. That is a head coach with a real risk taker philosophy. Oh and to the Jim Zorn playcalling and being a risk taker. So far to this at this point Jason called two touchdown drives both in hurry up mode. Jim Zorn = 1 and Danny Smith =1. What is wrong with that picture? The Defense played bad. The offense continues to play bad. We are in for a lonnnngggg season. Also Peter King said someone inside the organization said Jim Zorn won't be fired. Reasoning: JZ is the Qb coach, the OC, and the HC. Maybe next time the dude shouldnt have so many jobs.

Haynesworth had a sack, got carted off and then came back. Go study Holmgren's playbook, Zorn. |

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
defense played awful today. the problems I have with Blache is
1) the db's play way too soft 2) put Orakpo at de his natural position 3) apparently he does not know what the word blitz means. Even when the defense did play "good" they still had no pressure on the qb. pressure creates turnovers - that is a fact. No defense should let a team march 99 yards and get a td. In my humble opinion blache should be let now. Make either grey or the lb coach the defensive coordinator |

Would Holmgren come here tommorow and teach it to JZ? Could they bring him in as a special advisor? Snyder break out the check book for a minute. ![]()

You guys don't think that Zorn and Holmgren speak? I'm sure he calls him every once in a while.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
As for blaming Blache.
Our defense took horrible attack angles on on the runners today. Carlos Rodgers has taken a step back in stead of forward in a contract year. DHAll has looked bad. I cant put it any differently he has been continually abused all year. Fred Smoot got burnt a few more times. The LBs cant cover shit and today took poor attack lines on the runners. Read above I believe this was a team issue. The Dline brought minamal pressure. The Lions oline looked stout all day and won in the trneches. Laron Landry plays so far off the line of scrimmage I cant see him most of the defensive plays. I see this team with 3 good SS and not one FS ( should have fixed this by now but no one in the front office really cares and the DC thinks it "fine"

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
Quote:
- Orakpo, Best defensive player in the 2009 draft. - Haynesworth, arguably the best DT in football, certainly top 5. - Griffin, aging but still solid - Carter, solid rush end, average to slighty sub-par in run D - backup DTs, average - Fletcher, Pro Bowl caliber MLB - Rocky, average - Landry, very fast, very talented S. Lacks maturity so far. - Horton, better than average SS - Rogers, above average CB - Smoot, good tackler, good in short-mid Zone coverage, liability in man - Doughty, above average backup SS overall, sub-par in coverage - Hall, playing below expectations. So the D has a Pro Bowl or near PRo Bowl caliber player at every level and no glaring weaknesses. This is not a case of trying to make chicken salad with chicken shit.

Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!
HOLD UP!!!! Jim Zorn let the crappy lions drive 99 remember he declined the penalty and they scored. Let's do the math if Zorn kicks the field goal at the 1 and the lions kick the field goal instead of scoring the score could have been 17-15 skins win!!!!
