If you heard and saw some of the things that I witnessed the other day, you too would have been "off-put". As far as me correcting some of those students' (and faculty) behavior on the spot like you suggested. It simply wasn't my place, for I am not apart of the administration there. I'm merely a Joe-the -contractor-type trying to make that school a safe place to get an education. Some of the things that went on during the inauguration at that school were similar to what Jay-Z and Young Jezie (or what ever his name is) did at their concert. It was very classless if you ask me. It's also an all too familar pattern. But, I'm just saying.

Re: Official Inauguration Day Thread
Hey Trample, the general contractor is a blue devil alumnus. Have you ever heard of the name Jason McCune?
But anyway, I've been working out there for about 2 years now. The project is pretty much wrapping-up now with just a few add-ons here and there. We are putting your hard earned tax dollars to good use out there. Before that school went under renovation, it was a terd. Now after the renovation, it is a well polished terd. Back in my day as a Henrico Warrior, I ran around with some Blue Devils. Oh, who in the hell puts a school in the middle of a corn field anyway?

I was just thinking that Macho Harris came out of Highland Springs. They used to have a beast for a football squad. Then again it's hard to compete with guys in their thirties. I was at Varina when Jay Strath was there. I hear he went to UVA but didn't keep track of him. |

Re: Official Inauguration Day Thread
Here are some other names: Jessie Jennette, Julie Jennette, Ryan Johnson, Jason Johnson, circa late 80's here Mark Mcdonough, Randolph Tate, Bubba Loving, Jay Bird, Brian Nelson. Brian and I joined the Marine Corps about the same time. Sadly, Brian died in an Ospry accident around 2000 I think. Yeah, but I played ball against those guys back in the day. The funny thing now is that we get together around late summer, and play wiffleball like we did when we were kids.
The company that I work for got the contract to install various low voltage systems at that school off Elko. I've seen the floor plan, and that thing is freaking huge. I've heard that it is one the biggest high schools on the east coast. Yeah, I've heard that Frank Beamer recruits hard at Highland Springs. He would get more talent from there if only the kids could pass there admissions and stay out of trouble. But let's not dare say anything about that. We wouldn't want to be considered "insensitive" or "nontolerant". Oh hell, who am I kiding, it's Bush's fault!

Re: Official Inauguration Day Thread
Some of those names sound familiar probably since they're the older siblings of the guys I went to school with. If Bubba has a younger brother by the name of Michael then that's where I know that name from.
The only McCune I know is Stocks. He's a retired Henrico PO but he went to a Catholic school in Richmond and he's retired. I was in the Corps from 1997 to 2001. I was at LeJeunne with the 8th Engineers when an Osprey went down in the New River. That was in 99 or 98 because they shipped my happy self off to Iwakuni in 2000. A couple of my 0311 bros from boot were killed on that damn thing. You know that's got to be the biggest waste of money the brass ever thought of. It's been in the testing phase since before I was in and it still hasn't gone to full production because it's so shitty. If they need a new helicopter design they could easily license a design from a NATO country for a lot less money. Lord knows we can't design one ourselves. Shit I rather have a Soviet Mil Hind. Those damn things can take small arms, 50 cal, and rockets up the wazoo and keep on trucking. They don't stand a chance against Stingers or SAMs but what does? Yeah you know those Springers. When father and son are both starting on the football team you know they're not that bright. They're the only O-line that I know of that has guys with full beards. I like Tech a lot because they get a lot of local talent. I went to Randolph-Macon College and they're football squad wasn't that good. My old Fraternity Bros tell me their getting better. I hear they played in a championship game and lost. Dick Chenney and GWB personally go to HS and cook up free-base for the kids to smoke. They're evil I tell you! Evil! I'll start another thread for us Richmond boys to talk smack this weekend. With any luck we'll find a Springer. We might need a translator for his posts though. |
