Its one season. It started out great, then the schedule got extremely tough. Now injuries and wear and tear is starting to show because the lack of depth at certain positions.

So lets have Jason Campbell learn another play book this offseason and all the W Receivers?
I see your point, But Zorn has clearly lost the team. Maybe we need to get rid of some players, But someone needs to go!

I think as much as the coaches need to be blamed, the players themselves should be just as much blamed. What a bunch of whiny, lazy bums. They're a disgrace to themselves, the fans, their families, the city and the logo on the helmet. The whole lot of them.

What a laughingstock.
You're right...the Redskins are a complete joke...They just aren't a good football team

Has to stick with Zorn. If he fires him what makes people think that Cowher wants to coach a team where the owner fires coaches left and right. We need stability and Zorn needs one more year, if he screws up his second year, then fire him.

How is it possible that at 6-2 I was Horny for Zorny and now I'm Power for Cowher?

First of all.. no one should mention strength of schedule when your team loses to the Rams AND the Bengals, while BARELY beating the Lions, Seahawks and Browns...

Horrible coaching ALL around offensively ... WR coach - horrible .. Zorn as O-Coord. - Horrible ... Running has been ALL Clinton this year, just look at the other back yards per...

I'm sorry, but Zorn isn't going to be a good coach for a while, and we don't have that time with the age of the talent involved... he'd be good as a QB coach obviously, but not O-Coord or HC!!

Well Gibbs Coached this team for 4 years in his Second Stint and he didn't go to the superbowl. Do you know how many coaches accomplished that? Don't make excuses for Joe Gibbs. He had 4 years and he wasn't able to do what others were able to do.

The team has multiple problems. To blame it on only Jim Zorn or Campbell is unfair. Each year you have people that do well and exceed expectiations. HELL! Spurrier got 2 years and his game plans and techniques were way worse than this.

Cowher will make players tremble in their gold boots...

Something that Gibbs (I love Gibbs) and Zorn could never do...

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread

It's hard to put it all on Zorn when players are showing off after TDs, not making smart decisions with the football in the red zone, running routes shorter than the 1st down marker, committing stupid penalties...

At some point the players have to be accountable too.

Right now this team reminds me of a "in it for the beer" softball team or something. I don't see any frustration on the sidelines, or any surprised faces for that matter. About the only players I saw some emotion from was London Fletcher, and Rock Cartwright.

Angry Re: Redskins vs. Bengals game thread

The first three series of this game started with extremely vanilla, first down runs by Clinton Portis. (Amazingly, the Bengals were not taken by surprise). In fact, it was so ridiculous, that I was able to predict every play in those first three series with the exception of the end around. Here’s my point … If I can predict Zorn’s play calls, I’m sure coaches around the NFL can … even the Bengals.
We are pretty good at protecting the ball … THREE DOWNS AT A TIME. It’s not hard to protect it if you don’t do anything with it. I know that it’s legal to throw on first down; I see other teams do it fairly effectively. I’m also sure that it’s legal to throw unrestricted distances … Who knows, it might even generate some intensity and excitement on the field.
Would someone please remind Mr. (barely worthy to call coach) Zorn that he used to be a quarterback who threw the ball with some regularity … and it’s not just an option on third and long (which we find ourselves in way too often). We run when it’s obvious and we pass when it’s obvious …. It almost makes me throw up. My gosh … it’s the Bengals … … … The BENGALS !!

he is not a head coach. it's too much for him. why do you think that in his 10 years with seattle he was never promoted to coordinator?
