I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact that this guys wrote the article, or the talk of a new coach again.

Anyone know when Ping Pong comes on T.V, I bet all 8 of the fans don't have to deal with this shit.

Would this be that big of a surprise if true?
And yes it would be a huge surprise, because it would mean that the Skins really have no hope of ever having stability. Everyone has said Snyder learned from Gibbs, so changing after 1 relatively successful season, regardless of these last 3 games.

I think we need to realize that this continuity we all wanted (and for the most part got) going into this season may not be the best thing for Zorn's long-term success. Maybe he needs more of his own coaches to implement his strategies, he needs to play guys like Thomas and Kelly who are the future of the passing game (not El and Thrash). He can't do these things if he's only given one year. I don't think this is like Spurrier who barely would put in a day's work at Redskins Park. Zorn, from all I've heard, is putting a lot of effort into the job and deserves a shot, a real shot.

But again, this is all speculation by a columnist with an open dislike of Snyder

Maybe Snyder needs to look at his butt buddy Vinny. But I doubt this story is true.
I totally disagree. If we lose our next three games, after starting the season 6-2, and finish the season 7-9 I think absolutely merits a firing. This was a playoff team last year with virtually the same players. We have the talent on this team i'm just not exactly sure if it's being used properly.

If this story is true and Danny is really thinking of doing that? Then he should sell the team to a competent owner who uses his brain instead of his emotions. This team will never win if this is a real rumor, hopefully that's all it is. A rumor.

I don't know if I'd call this a playoff team last year rather a team that happened to make the playoffs.

Or I think if we re-examine the Off. Coord. we may be able to shop and find better. I don't think I have seen an OFfense that functioned since the early 1990's.

A playoff team and a 6th seed that barely got in and went home after one game. We could have VERY easily been 7-9 or worse last year. Rackers kick goes in and we're done. Dallas didn't need the last game of the year so they laid down for us. Yes we can bitch about certain guys not being used correctly but firing Zorn is not the way to go. Talent wise there is really no difference between the 07 and 08 team. If anything we're worse. Did anyone think we'd be better w/out Sean Taylor? Give Zorn 3 years. I can't believe we're even talking about this.

re: D.C. Examiner: Zorn's job in jeopardy? (not so fast he's coming back)

I've been away from the DC area since '98, so maybe I've lost touch, but who the hell is the Examiner anyway. Sounds to me like some clown trying to get some cheap web-hits. I hate articles like this. Who are the "sources", the janitor, JLC, someone with an agenda? Who knows?

"Redskins Park sources are also pondering if the team’s 1-4 collapse to practically ruin its once sure playoff chances could also claim the coach.
Examiner columnist Rick Snider writes that sources say Redskins coach Jim Zorn's job hinges on how the team finishes the season. “The honeymoon is definitely over,” said one team insider of Redskins owner Dan Snyder and Zorn."

IMO this is all pure crap. Firing Zorn would be the absolute worst thing Snyder could do. He would be "Al Davis East" if he lets Zorn go after what should be considered a successful season with what Zorn and Blache had to work with. I think Buges and Hixon will probably be replaced but Zorn, Blache and their people will stay.

???????????

I am very disappointed with Zorn's play calling, utilization of personnel, clock management and decision making but dont think he should be fired. I think a lot of things from this article were taking out of context also.

Snyder is a f'ing idiot if he ditches Zorn after one year. If that's the case, Jason Campbell was cursed to have been drafted by this franchise. A fourth offensive system in five years is Snyder's way to groom a QB.
