Obama's Change We Need, Changing?

Quote From the CBS Article:

The "agenda" Web pages on Change.gov seem to have mysteriously disappeared on Sunday. By Monday morning, they were replaced with a vague statement saying that Obama and running mate Joe Biden have a "comprehensive and detailed agenda" that will "bring about the kind of change America needs," with the individual pages deleted entirely.

For the rest of the story:
Obama Plans Gone From Transition Web Site, CNET: Detailed Policy Agendas For Iraq, Heath Care And More Vanish From Change.Gov Transition Site - CBS News

I love this quote:

Dan Pfeiffer, Obama's transition communications director, would not say what was going on or whether the deletion meant that some of the campaign promises would be dropped. He sent CNET News a one-line e-mail message saying: "That section of the Web site is being retooled."

I have no doubt Obama will be held accountable for his promises by the left and scrutinized by the right. Anywho, I am already displeased with his lax lobbying standards which they're trying to sell as the toughest ever. It's like having wolves guard the sheep so long as they promise not to eat them.

With how poor our country is anyway, it's gonna be hard to do anything.

Can't we just let the guy get into office first?

If the lobbyists ever really thought Obama could threaten them, there wouldn't be a President Obama. They own this town the way athletic boosters own big college football programs. They were laughing their asses off when Obama was running adds accusing McCain of being their puppet because McCain is probably the one politician they have hated the most over the last 25 years. The lobbyists will thrive, but you won't hear any news reports connecting them to the President. 60 minutes might throw the odd congessman under the bus, but I think this campaign proved that Obama will not be scrutinized over money by this press.

Its funny when a dem is in controll its "cant we all just get along" but when its a rep. it is never about just getting along. I'm just pointing out what he is doing and kept my comments to myself.

Re: Obama's Change We Need, Changing?

I love this part:

This isn't the first time that vanishing or altered documents on a presidential Web site have been noticed: President Bush got some unwelcome attention for this last year. The White House's Web team also rewrote the May 2003 caption showing Bush on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier after the Iraq occupation proved more problematic than expected (see before and after).

So the content was deleted from the website. Is this news? Am I supposed to draw some sort of conclusion from this.

Re: Obama's Change We Need, Changing?

I think you've got a shitload of republicans who are extremely butt hurt over the way Pres. Bush was "disrespected" over the last 6 years. Fox news is probably foaming at the mouth with all of the criticism they're getting ready to unleash. I've always been in favor of "the king is dead, long live the king." But too many people hold on to grudges to ever leave partisanship behind us for very long.
