what ever happened to backup QB's being holders? ie Theisman
They handle the ball every snap and shotgun snaps at that. This would provide several benefits, one of them being the ability to jetison a crappy punter mid season if warranted Not to mention having an option to do fakes...which would have been an option in this situation.
