But he also threw 3 or 4 passes that should have been intercepted. I think it should been the guy who got 2 sacks and 5 hits on Tom Brady (Sorry Don't remember the guys name)

While I couldn't believe prior to the game he had a shot at a ring, he went in there and got it done. Under extreme pressure he answered New England's TD.

Why do people "hate" Eli? He's just not a "hateable" guy.

He led the game winning drive for a touchdown in the Super Bowl against what many people have said was the best team ever.

What more do people want from the kid?

Stats weren't that bad for Eli. Did a pretty decent job with the exception of the one INT and throwing short passes way too hard at times. He deserved the MVP for sure. He outplayed Brady IMHO and got the job done when it counted the most. That is more than I can say about JC.

OOOOOORRRIIIIIGGGGGHHTT. gigity.

But seriously folks (wait, thats Joe Walsh), Eli was decent IMO but the MVP really shouldve gone to Tuck. Eli was mediocre compared to others in the SB.

once again,Eli was so-so, Tyree made 3 catches that were not very good thrown balls,
toomer saved one from going out of bounds that was a catch, and the game winning touchdown was to a all alone Plaxico after the move he put on the pats defender I did not see anything great about his play he threw 2 dropped int's by Pats defense,if Samuals don't take his eye off the ball, and miss it Patriots win. The MVP should have gone to the defensive line-hands down no question ask,THe Plaxico interview after the game first thing out of his mouth was can you give it up for that defense. He knows who the MVP was and it sure wasn't ELi.

Asante Samuel had a chance to win the game on that sideline near-pick. I tip my hat to Eli and the Giants for beating Goliath, and I do think he or Tuck were great MVP candidates for the game. I'm just not yet sold on Eli Manning as an exceptional starter in the NFL. He's got to show me consistency throughout a regular season. But you can't take anything away from how well he played in the playoffs. Good for him.

I agree. Do these people go to the Special Olympics and boo?

Sorry, that was bad.

I don't think he did great, but he got the job done and most important, he was the key to throw the unbeaten patriots ha! good for him and the giants

I saw Eli at the entrance to the kentucky derby a couple years ago. There was a small crowd there waiting for celebrities. Saw Spike Lee, dude from Montgomery Gentry, Jermaine Dupree & some others.

This one dude in the crowd would yell something out every time one of them walked up. Most of it was good natured if not funny. Then Eli walks up w/his girl, and dude starts heckling him - "Eli, you'll always be a Charger!"

It was kind of funny but he sounded so serious. That's the only reason I can think of that people hate on Eli so much, that he didn't want to play for SD. J. Elway had a similar experience when he didn't want to play for the colts, but his career turned out ok.

Cause he's not Peyton. Peyton could be the best ever, and people expect Eli to follow in his footsteps. (which he is obviously not) Eli is Eli and people need to learn to stop such high expectations. Eli will never be Peyton.
