Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
I don't think we'll have to worry about a letdown on Sunday, they've been in playoff mode for the last 4 weeks. This team knows what's in front of them. Win and they're in. If they can't get up for that they don't deserve to go.

I'm glad you didn't make an official prediction.

I am a veteran of the Clint Longley debacle, and my paranoia factor went through the roof when I heard the "no starters" stuff. Rest assured, the only one more paranoid than me, is Gibbs. Gibbs will have the squad taking no prisoners. If Wade decides to rest the whole team and play the cheerleaders, JOE2 will give that..................girl squad the THRASHIN' of their lives!

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
As a Redskins fan, I expect nothing less than a Lombardi Trophy each year. However, as a fan of the game, I realize that there are going to be times where my team does not do enough to earn that respect and that trophy. And I can live with that.
Predictions aside, it's been a hell of a ride to this week. Beat Dallas Sunday afternoon at 4:15 Eastern (11:15 in Hawaii) and the 6th seed belongs to the Skins. 2 times in 3 years, the Skins will have backed into the playoffs... There is a difference between wavering doubt and giving up. I never give up...

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
Correction if they make the playoffs they would have EARNED not BACKED into the playoffs. The last 3 games have been hard fought and I expect the same come Sunday. If Minnesota or NO make the playoffs that's backing in.

All I'm saying is the odds are stacked against the Skins. Got to win 3 road playoff games to get to The Promised Land and that isn't going to be easy.

That said, I'll be happy with A playoff appearance. Perhaps my standards are too low, but after the playoff drought from 1992-1998 and 2000-2004 I just want to see our team play in January. Moreover, with all that this team has gone through this season, I think it's reasonable to hang our hats on a wildcard spot. |

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!
I don't know if I would call that backing into the playoffs. If you're controlling your own fate by simply winning out, that's earning your spot not backing in.
