We have 5 capable receivers. We should just rotate them and wear the hell out of the DBs.

Daseal - that's brilliant! I can see it now..... Coles and Thrash take their CB's all the way down the field to the end zone - windsprint. They come out and Taylor and McCants do the same thing on the next play. (Garner stays in and does shorter post routes because he's got lead feet.) Third down, Coles and Thrash go down the field again and we throw it long ---- Coles, Touchdown!!! OK - maybe this would take several series to take effect. Here's another strategy.... Stick Hasselbeck, Tupa, and Hall in as a 3-wide receiver set. Have LaVar come in as the TE. The defense will be confused as hell. THEN - have Tupa take the handoff and fake the reverse to Hall. Then Tupa laterals across the field to Hasselbeck who shuttle passes to LaVar. TOUCHDOWN! And even if LaVar somehow gets stopped prior to the endzone, our kicking team is already on the field for a hurry-up field goal! See - I am capable of drawing up a play with involving The Ade! |

hail marys? just in case our starters get hurt? well, sucks to say, i'd wanna really hear it from him first, but i think Coles is playing hurt. and despite his big game, Gardner has a proven history of clutch drops. he may not be a bigtime playmaker, but i never knew Thrash to drop any with us or philly. i also knew McCants to get open and focused enough to score in the red zone. Jacobs seems speedy and healthy, why dont we see him out there more often or to spell one of our struggling starters? |
