Bill Cowher!!

Man at first I did not want him to be our next head coach. He is starting to grow on me more and more. I believe that we need a guy like him to lead us. He is touch as nails and will chew you out when you are not getting the job done. I saw him on the sidelines chatting with his former players. He was up in their faces like old times. I think we need to get him in the offseason. Just think with him on the sidelines and Gibbs in the front office we could get this ship sailing back right again.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Oh no, not Cowher again. The Skins need to find a young hungry coach (like the Steeler did with Tomlin) hire him and give him the time he needs to develop his system.

BTW, I though Gibbs was going to get the ship sailing right again.

I think it is a good topic. If you don't want to read it just don't click on thread.

I would like to see him come here. I think he brings a lot of fire and experience.

Can we just send it straight to Thread Hell? I love it when threads get sent to Thread Hell.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

While it's a good topic to discuss during the off-season, or when it's specifically brought up that Gibbs is officially leaving, we're in the middle of a 5-3 season, with playoffs on the horizon...it's not a good topic right this moment.

There are also plenty of other coaches who would bring fire and experience...one of which is already in burgundy and gold...

But to each their own. Fire away...

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Didn't we discuss this a few weeks back?

Either way, we're 5-3 and right in the hunt. It really doesn't seem like the right time to be discussing a new coach, but that's just me. Carry on if you wish.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Frankly, and I'm speaking on behalf of all mods here, it gets old having to lock threads that should have never started in the first place. You'd think eventually people would have the common sense not to start some of the threads that are started here.

This is an old tired topic with no new information with a stupid title. Why don't we just start a whole bunch of similar threads? "Pete Caroll!!!!" "Russ Grimm!!!!!" "Jim Mora Jr.!!!!" "Randy Edsall!!!!"...and so on

Maybe Cowher will come here (I sorta hope not) but it's not even a blip on the radar screen right now so why do we have to a new thread about it every other month? But whatever, some thought my Andy Reid thread was dumb (at least there was something new to discuss there). So to each his own I suppose.

Exactly... Just because it was discussed before it can never be brought up again? Every thread, every topic, every idea has been talked about in the past its just worded different in newer threads.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

WOW we are 5-3 and talking like Gibbs is gone and in the front office already. How about we let the season play out and see if Gibbs will be coming back. Enough of this Gibbs bashing already. WE ARE 5-3. Cheer for your team and quit wanting another coach while one is still here who is doing a pretty good job. HAIL!!

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Its being discussed because after 3.5 years we are nowhere close to being a dominant team.
