Hell yeah, I voted for him! We never get enough credit, and Carter played a great game...he gets my vote!

Re: Carter up for Defensive Player of the Week

AC had a heck of a game, hopefully he'll get some serious consideration.

Re: Carter up for Defensive Player of the Week

Carter seems to dominate the weak tackles and disappear against the stronger ones.

Which, of course, is a lot better than the alternative.

Re: Carter up for Defensive Player of the Week

Going back to last season he's had 7 sacks in his last 7 games. I don't think those have all come against weak tackles.

I've been talking to some guys over on the Green Bay boards and they seem to underestimate Carter over there.

Gtripp, I am sure a lot of good DTs dominate the weak tackles and disappear against the stronger ones. Umenyiora (DT Giants) dominated Justice from the Eagles, but didn't do much against Samuels when he played the Skins. I am with you in that it is a lot better than the alternative.

Re: Carter up for Defensive Player of the Week

Sacks are awesome. But i like the 8 tackles even more. A pass rush specialist whose MO has been the speed rush getting 6 tackles on top of 2 sacks is huge.

Did they convert a third down in the 1st half? or even in the first 3 quarters? He was a huge contributor to that result.

Very true. If they were beating the good tackles often, it wouldn't make them good tackles now would it?
