ECU VT Game

Anyone else watching this? The Pirates are sure giving VT a run for their money. Also Michigan has its hands full with Appy State. Im so glad football is back!

Re: ECU VT Game

Yeah I've been watching it since it came on. I've been rooting for VT for about 4 seasons now, after what happened in April I hope they kick some serious ass this year.

They really do have their hands full with ECU right now though, I figured this game would be an easy win for VT. Instead, the Hokies' o isn't doing anything against ECU, and we can't stop their running game either. Sean Glennon's inexperience is showing, and so far the offensive line hasn't played that great.

Re: ECU VT Game

Didn't have tickets but my wife and I drove the boy up there to watch Gameday and hang out with some friends. That was fun but the game definitely could have been better. First play of the game and Glennon throws an interception. He's a nice guy and I wish him the best but my football sense, however limited that may be, tells me he's not going to be an asset to the team. The run defense needs some work, too. I hope this can be attributed to a high case of over-emotions. They've got the makings of an all-time a great Hokie team.

Re: ECU VT Game

yeah Sean Glennon will not be an asset to that squad this year. We have a lot of work to do on offense if we want to beat LSU next week. Their defense is a lot better than ECU's. We also need to do some work on defense because they were able to run on us. The pass defense was decent though.

On another note, these guys at ESPN need to STFU about Appalachian State beating Michigan. I didn't think Michigan would be that good this year because a lot of their players left for the NFL last year. I've been watching College Football Gameday/Overdrive on ESPN News and that is all they have talked about.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.
