[choir sings] HALLELUJAH !!!!

It's about friggin time someone said it ! Honestly HOW MANY PASSES WILL THIS GUY GET ???? Over two years this man has thrown 47 picks !!! Forty EFFIN Seven. 38 TD's and 47 picks ?!?!?!? Over the last 3 years His completion percentage has dropped from 64.1% in '04, to 61.3 in '05, to 56% in '06. He's fumbled the ball 21 times in three years; 4, 10, and 7 respectively. He's had a pretty good offensive squad to work with I mean what should he have a Pro Bowl WR core around him ?

Watching Packers games is a pain for me. For every pick this guy throws there is an excuse. We all know about Madden's man crush but let's not talk about Chris Collinsworth. LORD DOES THIS GUY HAVE A THING FOR BRET. Either the WR wasn't in the right spot which I guess is fifteen more yards downfield where the safety was which was where the ball ended up getting ? Or he doesn't have any help. Every year I have to watch a NATIONALLY COVERED press conference about this has beens decision to stay or leave. It has really become frustrating for me, and I'm sure it has become frustrating for Packers fans. Who has he helped lately ? Yeah he may make the game exciting because you never know if that 65 yard bomb will be a td or a pick ? Triple coverage, forget about it! I mean who else throws a bomb to the same guy to get it picked in the same spot two plays in a row and still get away with it ? FAVRE !!!! If any other QB in the league had done the things that he has done they wouldv'e been sent to the gallows a long time ago, but not the Bret. Oh no, he's a gunslinger ! He has balls, the fire to win at any cost. We all remember Ramseys pass to Cooley in triple coverage, but think about that every single pass play ? That'd be cool wouldn't it. He literally plays the game like he's playing Madden and he can hit the reset button because no one is around to see. I honestly forgot he won a Super Bowl, seriously and I won money off of it.

Talk about tarnishing your legacy. Just let it go Bret.

In the future guys don't bother replying to trolls. We'll get rid of them quick enough.

Favre has been to 2 Super Bowls, winning one against New England, so he doesn't have to worry about being the next Marino.

bring him here!!! Sike, his best fit would be Miami or Lions ( like they would trade him there).

Re: Brett Favre wants to be traded from Green Bay

Favre was a total moron for not retiring when he could have. The team of the mid 90's that went to 2 SB's is long past gone, and it will take awhile to get that nice combo of talent to get something special going again. I think he hurt himself with the retirement talk and with the Pack having Rodgers waiting in the wings he is expendable in the long run. He only has 2 good years left tops and who is going to spend a shit load of $$$$$$$$ on him to get him for a lousy 2 years. Look for him to be possibly shopped around, with no takers, then he will retire. I can only see a team like Miami going for him possibly since their QB situation is rather dicey, but Favre will probably ask for a ton of money. Also a team will be leary of a possible cap hit with a trade for him. Look for Favre to retire.

Except both have clearly deteriorated a bit physically. It's not biochemistry, they are just in their upper 30s. Favre's arm isn't any better compared to what it used to be than Brunell's is compared to what it used to be.

Favre and Brunell can both be starters somewhere in this league (like, Green Bay for example), but neither are in the top half of starting QBs anymore.

And for the record, I'd probably take present day Brunell over present day Favre. Brett remids me of the old guy from every disney football movie who just hasnt realized what he has become.

Damn Madden and Collinsworth? What about frigging Bradshaw since they are both Mississippi QB's? Favre can't do any wrong with Bradshaw, almost a God. Fox spent I don't know how many seasons kissing Favre's ass. He has sucked the past 3 seasons if not more. He will retire, trust me. I think he realized his mistake and is setting the stage up for this. I just can't see anybody picking him up for a year or two, unless he signs on a low $$$$$ contract

He will retire, but not yet.
I believe he will suck up at least one more year in GB, when it's all said and done.

Re: Brett Favre wants to be traded from Green Bay

Yeah you are probably right. Nobody would have picked him up if he was serious about it. He will end his career as a Packer, as he should. I can understand his frustration,. but why cause all the controversy at the end of your career when you are not real good trade bait so to speak? I don't give him a year. I give it a 50/50 chance he retires before the season starts. The Pack isn't going anywhere this season, so he might as well save his body from more punishment. He really needed to pack it up after 2005. By then the handwriting was on the wall the party was over in Green Bay.

But Green Bay finished 8-8 last year. That may not be much but 8-8 was enough to get the Giants in the playoffs. Give Favre a little help on offense and who knows

But then things started unraveling. The Packers would offer no higher than a 5th when just a couple of days before it was going to be a 4th or even a 3rd. They wouldn't guarantee Moss some money even though they have it and Favre even offered to restructure his deal to pay Moss.

But it was probably a culmination of several things; the last two years their first picks have been defensive players, they didn't take care of Javon Walker (I don't really remember all the details of that actually), they let Ahman Green go.
Well I admittedly don't work for ESPN, everything I have heard is that once New England entered the conversation Green Bay was out of the equation, since Moss had so much control over where he ended up and wanted to compete for a Superbowl. Maybe they could have gotten the deal done earlier, but I think it's hard to fault the team too much in this instance. I definitely don't think they were backstabbing or misleading Favre on this, which is what he insinuated.
