Brilliant elucidation of your point. Incredilble obtuse in its presentation and totally lacking in either substance or literacy. An idiocy bordering on lunacy and consumed by bitter hatred of those better than him.

Clearly, someone about whom my signature is particularly relevant.

(Oh and btw, - Delhomme? Yeah, he'll get it done. lol)

Yeah ive got to say that when I saw the thread title I was shocked. Now that I think about it you really cant blame him the way things are looking for Green Bay latley.I just never thought it would come to this.I wonder if he is thinking that he doesnt want to be like Marino. You know, great Q.B that just never made it all the way.

I think he could help Chicago Tampa bay and
Minnesota. Unfortunately, to many teams that he could help are in Green Bay's division. What other teams could he help?

Farve needs to retire especially if he doesn't want to ride his career out playing for GB. Even if he does get traded he'll sign a 'one day contract' to retire as a Packer. Lame. Go out on your high horse Farve even if you feel you're better than your team is.

How do you think he could possibly go out on a HIGH horse with GB?
A QB can't win enough games to get you anywhere, it takes a team, which they don't have.

Right now he is much better than GB, with NO surrounding cast.
If he's going to play another year, it only makes logical sense to do it with a team that might have a chance. Which GB DOESN'T.

Actually, your out of hand comment lacks an intelligent response. My point is as follows:

The Green Bay Packers have not been a contender for several years. It is a team that needs to back off and try to rebuild for a year or two.

Brett Favre is a livining legend in GB (well deserved) and as long as he is still there, they will just keep trying to put a band aid on the problem to keep him happy....

What they need to do is rip the band aid off and let the wound heal for a season or two.

Brett Favre still has talent and could be a contributor to MANY teams.... but wouldn't that be like Darrell Green deciding he wanted to play longer than the Skins would allow and going to finish up his years in Oakland?

So, yes.... It is an intelligent school of thought that says Brett Favre should retire. Whether you agree or not... more importantly, whether Brett agrees or not.

GB also has a QB by the name of Aaron Rodgers that NEEDS to get on the field. If I were in the rebuilding phase which they clearly are, I would want this QB of the future on the field.

I would not want to turn him into another Matt Schaub.

He could help Teams like Oakland , Denver , Miami and Cleveland , then they could let the young guns learn the offence for a year or two before being thrown into the fire .

Actually I think Oakland would be the PERFECT fit for Farve.

He loves the long ball; So does Davis. He'll only be around for, at best, another year or two. And J. Russell could sit for a minute and not get rushed into the starting line-up.

Let's face it, Oakland's defense was border-line nasty last year. They had trouble punching the ball in the end zone, that's all.

I think if Farve is really serious about leaving Green Bay, don't be suprised to see him in Silver and Black.

Re: Brett Farve wants to be traded from Green Bay

1st of all, everyone it's FAVRE...not Farve.
2nd...I am disappointed in him. He IS Green Bay. They have made strides to keep him there and keep him happy. Dan Marino WAS the Dolphins, and Brett IS the Packers. He needs to realize how special he is to the orginization. What team will he take over and win with? The Colts? The Patriots? No good team would scrap their plans and let Brett win with them. He can't better his situation. Whether the Packers win 8 games or less, or win 10 games or more, he needs to finish out his career there, and realize that he may WANT to win, but his abilities now limit him to being a starter on about only 30% of the teams out there at best. Even if he came to the Skins, he wouldn't dethrone JC and even if Gibbs did allow that, he wouldn't learn our system that fast.
So Brett, here is some advice...you are a great player, and one of the best of all time, you grew up with the packers and you will have a statue built for you. Focus on the records your about to beat this year (the hardest being the 3800 or so yards you need to pass Marino) and go out on top with the oginization that DID win you a super bowl. (something Marino never acheived.) You are a god in Green Bay, something almost every player imagines in their wettest of dreams. Enjoy it, and go down in history as one of the best QB's of all time.

If he goes to Oakland, he will not get his numbers. Sure, they love to throw deep, but their threats are no longer that potent. Oakland has a LONG way to go, and I guarentee GB will win more games than Oakland. He wants to win...remember???? So I would be completely surprised to see him go to Oakland. He will eventually come to his senses and realize that no team that has a shot at winning will allow him to start there.
