Re: What to do with Springs??
Because he sucks. Watch him closly. All the other teams knew who to throw against. They knew our weak spot.. If the first game things change, I'll be the first to support him... until he starts looking like last year again.

Re: What to do with Springs??
But you can't really think he was solely responsible for our problems last year do you? I mean surely you saw that we had problems across the board both on defense and offense.

Re: What to do with Springs??
Did I say that? No. I said that Rogers is lazy and doesn't care.. which means we should cut him loose. He is far from our only problem, but his play last year was down right embarrassing. His attitude sucks too.

He also had injuries like many other SKINS did last year. Give the kid a chance he will be just fine. The guy is not a #1 CB at this stage in his career, that's what he was throw into last year, and was not ready. This year he WILL be much improved!

I also feel like last season will be a learning experience for him. He most likely will benefit from the struggles of last season and he deff will show great improvement in the upcoming season.

Re: What to do with Springs??
What he needs is an a*s beating. The only time he really showed himself was after Gibbs chewed out the team and told them all none of them were safe and they better play like they mean it. Saints game.. one of his FEW ITs last year.

Re: What to do with Springs??
One of Rogers' biggest problems last year was not holding on to interceptions, a hurt thumb could explain a lot of those drops.
Rogers is not where he should be considering he was the 9th overall pick. But maybe he never should have been that in the first place. Not really a debate I want to get into, just saying maybe he's just a really good #2 or even nickel back but not the shut down corner we'd expect from someone drafted so high. But, is it his fault he got drafted that high? I think so long as we don't ask him to be the man, Rogers can be a very valuable member of this team.
