If Todd Wade doesn't work out at Guard we should try him there.

Unless we get an overwhelming offer for him we have to keep him. He is our best CB. I would love to know why we want to get rid of him so much and why he wants out so much. I never perceived any issues before all this talk started after last season.

With Springs at CB. It makes the skins Nickel the best in the league.
CB-Springs
CB-Rogers/Smoot
Nickel CB- Rogers/Smoot
FS-THE BEAST- Taylor
SS-Prioleau/Landry/Omar St./Fox

Re: What to do with Springs??

Unless he is going to pout and moan and become a nuisance, we need to keep him. Both Rogers and Smoot are #2 corners AT BEST. Springs, when healthy is what someone else here called a "force multiplier" which I thought was exactly right. He plays the position at a different level than anyone else we have.

In the Dallas game at FedEx last year, Springs was beaten on a corner route (I think it was) when Dallas was driving around the 15 yard line. There were less than ten seconds left, so Springs just grabbed his man. He was called for PI, but Dallas had to settle for a FG because of the time and Parcells was beside himself. The fact that he had gone for 2 earlier and missed probably soured his mood. His mood got really, really, sour about two hours later. The point is that Springs is the only player we have who would have had the presence of mind to do that. The others would have given up 6. Let's keep him.

If Springs switch to DT or DE, he would need to add like 100 pounds first..

Re: What to do with Springs??

Let me say something about Springs. I DONT LIKE HIM AND NEVER HAVE!!! Anytime this guy has a hangnail he sits out for 4 weeks, reason being is to extend his career to get his money. Hes good when he wants to be, hes all talk im tired of him. hes unreliable and to me USELESS. So what if we made him angry about asking the great shawn springs to take a pay cut, everyone may be on smoot saying hes not as good as springs, but at least he plays with heart unlike this clown. Am i wrong for thinking this way?

Ummm, that's pushing it a bit, don't you think?

Rogers and Smoot form the best nickel package in the league? You understand Smoot was demoted from the starting position with the Vikings, right? You have been actually watching Rogers play over the past two years, right?
