Or is this a move geared toward 2008? Will they not keep Marcus (that would suck), will they Fletch go (why sign him in the first place)?

On the one hand you say, heck if we can get Briggs you get him and then you worry about playing time for everyone. On the other hand, you say this could do more damage than good
