Maybe he'll be in rehab with Britney, for about 30 minutes, and shave his head

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

Anyone who says they liked Irvin in any way needs to move on to a Cowboy website and chat with them. (they find a pipe in his car and he says he took it up from a friend) come on!!! Plus him before Art Monk is a shamable insult.

Yall probably were silver and blue panties under your bugandy and gold!

Irvin was a worse hire than Rush Limbaugh. I'm glad that poor excuse for a human being has been fired. Good riddance!

I remember thinking that he looked high at the time. I think that is why he was not re-signed. Of course, this is my own opinion.
Of course he was coked up. He's back in Miami during SB week??????????????? I bet he and many other players got loose all week long.

This is what's wrong with many fan sites today. Just because someone is a Cowboy you hate them. While I hate the Cowboys as an organization, and when you put that uniform on you're most likely my sworn enemy, that doesn't mean you can't look at things objectively. First of all, I believe there are announcers that are much worse for Irvin. Thank god not everyone interviews like Joe "Tells ya nothing" Gibbs. You need guys like this to make interviews interesting. He brings a players perspective to the game, which I like.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Irvin was a good player. If you can't see that, you're blind.

If I remember correctly, Irvin said if anyone should be in the Hall of Fame before him it's Art Monk. It's just stupid to blame a player for being voted into the hall of fame. He doesn't cast a vote.

every person who listened to him is more stupid for having done so, i award him no points and may god have mercy on his soul.

AMEN! **** "White Lines" Irvin...what a dick off.....I cant really STAND any cowboy in a commentary booth but, IRVIN SUCKED! Aikman is cool though. He's probably the best color commentator around at this point, next to Sam Huff and Jurgensen on Redskin Radio of course! lolol

Your comments really make no sense. I have been a Redskin fan since the George Allen days. I really enjoyed Irvin and he was one of the main reasons I tuned into the ESPN shows. He's funny as hell and you need a guy who mixes things up a bit. You need a guy who is funny and says off the wall crap. I like Jaws and he played for the Eagles and I hate the Eagles more than the Cowboys.

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

Irvin's biggest strength was his likeability with other players allowing him access to locker rooms and interviews that others may not have gotten.

What does that say about ESPN that someone tunes into their NFL show primarily to watch someone like Michael Irvin. I guess the most entertaining TV these days is created by people with zero character!

The irony is that ESPN hired the Tuna. Out with one ex-Cowboy, in with another!

It's all of them together. I love watching Jaws too. Jaws is great how he breaks down teams in the film room. He's a true pro. I like Jackson too. He's kind of in the middle. Steve Young is Mr. Goody Too Shoes. But Irvin is just nuts. You can't have all the guys acting the same. You have to have kind of a bad ass in there. A guy who adds controversy.

I like the CBS show now that JB is in the studio. Shannon Sharpe is pretty good too. He's funny as hell and kind of acts like a clown. But I'll tell who is great on that show is Charley Casserly. He adds in some great pieces and I always try and catch Charley. He's got great connections throughout the league and gets great information.

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

I'm an old school skins fan, and i really liked Irvin. but, after defending T.O. to the very end made him look like quite the a**hole. and jaws is the man. i swear no one breaks down more film then jaworski. all of them, together, make it work

Re: Irvin no longer with ESPN

once irvin got on the set, he was extremely biased towards the cowboys and TO, and because he was so overly biased, jaws turned into a shameless eagles homer and TJ a broncos homer. he kinda screwed the whole place up.
