He said he isn't even close to 100% which gives me hope he'll play a little better. He hasn't been playing poorly by any means, but he's definitely not his old self.

Saw this on that "other" site but it made me laugh my ass off.

Don't you think we need more depth at CB though???

I think we need another starting CB period, but not anyone to replace Carlos. I'm thinking we sign Clements in the offseason, then move Springs to safety/nickel.

I agree with that too, Springs is aging, and we should start thinking about his replacement soon. Moving him to Nickel wouldnt be a bad idea.

It wouldn't "demote" him so much, just give another great coverage guy in the secondary.

i have doubts about quinn, he's got a great team around him in ND, I think he's gonna be a bust.

Oh, as do I. He's going to be Ryan Leaf all over again.

D-LINE help is a must! If we can get a couple of thugs on the D-line then that will hopefully help our corners and safties. Does any offense in the NFL look at our front 7 and say, " we have to account for this guy?" Nope.

If we wanted thugs, I think we could get Haynesworth relatively cheap.

Does anyone else think that we could have found something in Golston and Montgomery?

When I use that word I mean some guys that will come off the edge and rush the passer and cause havoc. No face stompers. As far as Goldston and Montgomery? Goldston looks OK against the run. He's not an everydown player and I have not seen him get any type of push up the middle. Montgomery has shown me nothing. He was not very good in pre-season and I'm not sure why they kept him over Killings.

springs is better than rogers, so i don't see why he'd be the one demoted... i mean it's not even close.

carlos needs to learn how to catch and how to not give every WR he covers a 10-15 yard cushion. how many 3rd and 4s have been converted against him because he's afraid to go get beat if he messes up at the line? people are throwing on (and completing) more on rogers than wright.

let me start by saying i usually agree with you. now, i was at the philly game, and rogers was HORRIBLE. he played 10 yards off any reciever he was covering. any time the eagles were in third and short, mcnabb looked to whatever side rogers was on, and threw a short pass that way for a first down. and on the long one to stallworth, that was one mr taylor that got burnt, it looked like he was guessing what route was going to be run. as far as who we draft, its like what came first, the good corner, or the good pass rush? i believe a good pass rush makes an average corner 10 times better. hell, there were games last year in which jimoh actually looked alright. alittle pass rush goes a long way
