they need to use their pick to draft the best dl or de available. AC was not the answer.

rogers sucks right now, really badly, he's getting torched by second and third receivers, every team goes right at him knowing he doesnt have the speed, or aticipation to cover. We need CB depth, so clements would not be a bad idea, and with D-line, that is all we should draft, ALLL DLINE, ALLL DLINE.

No, he hasn't. Outside of Troy Williamson the first game of the season, who has been "torching" him? UGH, THIS is why I'm taking crazy pills.

The mob mentality sucks.

No, no. I'm asking for an answer. Who has been torching him? Maybe you're thinking of Kenny Wright who was good for at LEAST a TD every game he played in.

Stallworth embaressed him just this weekend. He might not get burned deep as much cause he gives a 30 yard cushion, but he is still gets TORCHED. And tackling by a CB is not nearly as important as coverage. The safeties are the tacklers.

Stollworth (I'm not even sure it was Rogers either) got behind him on one play. All the top CBs get burned, I'm talking who has CONSISTENTLY burned him in a game this year? Really, he's been running stride for stride with almost all WRs he's covered. He almost totally shut down TO, I don't know what people are asking of him.

maybe they are asking for him to break up one pass this season, or make a good read on one ball? show some sort of feel for the position. I have very little confidence in him, I'd rather have wright in coverage, tacking is another issue.

People want to bash him, but still really give no proof on why he is playing bad. The only bad game he really had was against Minnesota. Against EVERYONE else, he pretty much shut down the team's #1 receiver.

I agree with TMC here on this one. Rogers has significantly improved this year in COVERAGE. That doesnt mean he can catch any better, he still sucks ass at that. But he has been pretty much in stride with most recievers. The beginning of the year Wright got burned every play, bc Rogers was covering well.

Seriously, as I mentioned in the stupid Bailey/Portis trade thread, people are looking for blame, where there isn't any.

The problem with our D? No pressure from the front 7. If you can't get a good pass rush from those, ANY team in the NFL can score on you, period. Problem two, is the safeties, mainly AA, who can't cover worth shit. I still haven't given up on Taylor, even though he looked horrible last game.

I still feel if our pass rush improves(like it did towards the end of the dallas game) our entire D improves by alot.

Yeah, I'm not too into rogers, but a pass rush would definitely help him out a lot, there is a lot of pressure on him in coverage, which magnifies his weaknesses. Even champ bailey got burned against dallas several times for game changing plays back in the day, when our pass rush was miserable.

Look I am not saying Rogers is a god by any means. He needs to work on catching, making reads for picks, and giving a bit less cushion(that was mainly in last game though). But beside that he can cover much better than most people are saying.

I personally think he has improved alot since last year. But I guess that is just me, everyone here wants a scapegoat.

If anything, I'd even go so far as to say that Rogers is our best corner. Springs is getting beat even more than Rogers. Even so, neither of them are doing TOO poorly, and just like hooskins mentioned above, opposing QBs have HOURS to stand in the pocket and throw.

Hopefully in the coming weeks, Springs will get back up with the game, and back to his normal self.

I hope this isnt his peak coverage ability, because it is nothing like last year's.
