Transformers movie?

What do you think, will it rock or suck?

It's in production now, scheduled to release in 2007

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/

Re: Transformers movie?

the directory (M Bay) is pretty crappy... though he's reasonable at action sequences.

I'd vote for suck just from what i've heard about it thus far.

I have a feeling it's going to be Japanimaed-out. Not being a huge Japanimantion fan, I'm not too sold on it. I see lots of smiling cats and actions sequences similar to that of Pokemon.

Re: Transformers movie?

It's live action right? I think it's going to suck and the special effects are going to look crappy and outdated in 5 years.

is that going to be starring the Rock, or did "Doom" take him out of the running?

Re: Transformers movie?

I know the cars look pretty sweet from what they had linked @ ain't it cool news before WB had them removed. it's kinda weird that they r changing bumblebee from a beetle to the new camaro concept http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_sh...amaro_concept/ ,but I'm holding out hope it will be sweet. the first glimpse of it is supposed to be attached to superman as is Spiderman 3. I also think from recent car commercials with various transformations, they could make them look realistic, but I'm worried how the transformers r gonna look when interacting with humans cuz that might look a little weird if not done correctly. bay is good for doing action flicks but rarely comes through with a story so that is another possible knock on the movie. I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
