Good insight on yesterday's game:

Most surprising performance: Edge rusher Maxx Crosby had a hard time getting anything going against Commanders rookie offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. The Raiders' star defender had a sack in 11 matchups against the first-round pick. But the sack came late in the fourth quarter when the game was out of reach. -- Ryan McFadden

Because Conerly was arm tackling Crosby around the neck all day. Kid has a way to go in cleaning that up.

Made me think of The Longest Yard (the original).

There must have been at least 10 times where Crosby threw up his hands like, “Are you seeing this?” The good news is that the string of elite edge rushers ends next week. But still….

I’ll bet Conerly never did that in practice. Von Miller would go nuts.

This would be an incorrect observation regarding Conerly.
