Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Exactly this! Use the money other places JD5 makes receivers look good; we need a game breaking RB that make a bigger difference

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
How crazy is it. That we are so confident with a rookie QB that if he has to drive down the field to win the game late in 4th quarter that we would all be shocked if he didn't. Very surreal

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
Just finished watching the game (recording, UK time). Wow! Not as exciting a finish as the Hail Beary, but its right up there. Wonder if it'll get its own identity? The Tampa Bay Doink?
I like the way Brown stepped up, but I'm not ready to christen him the #2 yet. He's had 4 years and 1 game might make you a hero, it doesn't make you a star (just ask Timmy Smith). WR and OL are still a priority on O this offseason. I don't think anyone had a bad night, though if we have a prayer v Lions, the pass D has to step up, and the running game can't go missing for stretches of the game. I'm savouring this one for the next 6 days. Unfortunately, another 1AM game for me next week... |

4 FG = 12 points 2 TD = 14 points Considering that: - FGs aren't sure things (see doink winning FG) -This team is converting on 85% of their 4th down tries. This may just be the better strategy rather than a gamble

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
I'm not just saying this because he's our QB but folks JD5 is the best Rookie QB EVER in the history of football.

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread
It was a hard fought victory, which makes it even sweeter.
There are a couple of things the team will need to clean up prior to the Lions game. Our running game was basically non-existent when we exclude JD's running yards. We really need to figure out how to get BRob going, and get our Oline to open holes effectively. Evans abused Lattimore. We gotta figure out a way to get Lattimore comfortable in the system. |
