Arguably you play the odds there. If we don't recover the onside kick then the Ravens get the ball virtually in scoring range with probably the best kicker in the game. It's a moot point about the D stopping them, because even if we stop them after the onside kick-off and they elect to punt (and it's more likely they're in Tuckers range by then), they're pinning us deep with seconds on the clock. If we do put them inside their 35 with a normal kick-off and stop their O, we get the ball back with enough time on the clock to go 50-70 yards rather than a likely 80-90.

But our D was wasn't going to stop them either way.

That was my thinking. Easy for me to say but I would've hoped he would gamble for the win with special teams knowing how poorly the defense was playing Sunday would make it a moot point if Baltimore recovered the ball.

it was basically pick your death

on side kick = quick and over

kick off = death by a million paper cuts

The ONLY opportunity we had to win at the end was if that lame PI call wasn't made but whatever that is the NFL
