Quite a bit of both Biden's and Harris's support came from people like me who were voting against Trump (which likely made up about 30% of her support) Our votes were very reluctant for her as it was and by picking another progressive (and a populist one at that) it was essentially a slap in the face to independents and the Never Trump/GOP conservatives that made up that group. In my office alone 2 that would have voted for her if she picked Kelley (especially Kelley), Shapiro or any moderate told me they are now going to vote for Trump and she lost my vote as well (I will sit out). As you posted she's making a move thinking all she needs is her base. She read the audience wrong the anti-Trump vote was more important than her base support and now she will likely lose. Lets see what the polls say in 2 weeks.

I do not understand how somebody could go from voting for Kamala Harris and then she makes a VP pick that is in line with her views and you switch to Trump. Sitting out I understand, switching to Trump - no because they're two diametrically opposed opponents. In short I don't believe you're too colleagues we're going to vote for Kamala they were probably just saying that but we're going to vote for Trump no matter what. Of course I don't understand how anyone is voting for Trump or Harris at this point so I'm just stuck in the middle with no one to vote for or to represent me.
