hes the top rusher we've ever had...i dont see how anyone could say he's overrated or that we shouldn't have done that trade

Portis has earned the respect from alot of people in the NFL this season. Especially Brian Mitchell. Mitchell gave him hell all year last year, I think he owes ole CP and apology. I do think Clinton is one of the most complete backs in the NFL, running with speed, illusiveness, power, has great vision and his willingness to take punishment is unmatched. He is one of the best RBs in the NFL at picking up blitzes. He doesn't just slow them down, which generally gets the job done, he knocks their asses down. Most of all, this man has the heart of a champion. He will be one of the single reasons if we advance in the playoffs.

Secondly, people stop comparing portis and champ in the trade. they play two totally different postions. I can see comparing Coles vs Moss, which we obviously go the better end of. But to compare Bailey and Portis is just not right for either team. Champ obvioulsy brought something Denver felt the didn't have and Portis gave us something we didn't have. By looking at it, I would say we are about even, Denver has a very stong D against the Pass, and Portis has carried the team on his legs. Cant really say one team got the better deal.

Im pretty sure he was agreeing with your sarcasm (that Portis wasnt a product of the system at all). He sure ran for 1500 yards outside of Denver, didnt he!

Yes, I was agreeing with the sarcasm. I've always been a rabid supporter or Portis, and felt that he is the most talented back Washington has ever had. I'm also pretty cynical towards the people who call him overrated.
