Very well said!

Being 41, I've ridden quite the roller coaster of emotions with this team. Having been raised as an Army brat, I've moved all over the world... but it was in the late 60's that I lived in PG County (Oxen Hill) when the whole "fandom" thing took over.

I moved my wife and 3 sons (15, 12, and 10) from California 4 years ago.... even then I was raising my boys to be Redskins fans... would take them to see them play the Raiders, and the (then LA) Rams. It was a tough chore selling them on a team that had not had a winning season during their exsistance... but it stuck. Now, living up in Cecil county, every year we go to the training camp, draft day party, took them to Ravens scrimmage. It is an awesome feeling seeing these 3 boys of mine clamber on the sectional, kick on the 50"... "DAD!... the game is about to start! You are going to miss the kick-off..." LMAO, like they don't think I know when the game starts. They just get so excited...

So... back to the thead.... It would be very devistating! I don't even like to think that way. My #2 son sounds like BSB, can't sleep, this is all he can talk about. Throwing me different kinds of scenarios... what if Ramsey does start? Do you think the Eagles are going to be the spoilers? How about Norv, Dad, don't you think they will really try to beat the Giants so he can do his old team a favor? LOL... yeah, there is a lot of excitement around this house.

The Redskins flag is already hanging outside, one on the Jeep too. All are decked in burg ang gold for the day.... the boys save their jerseys for game day. So much tradition/superstition around here.

I don't like to think about a loss. My house will be in mourning.... shades will be pulled, lights off in th house, garage door down...

Re: What if we lose??

If we lose I'll need to crawl under a rock as I have been boasting and getting in people's faces about the Skins. I'll actually keep wearing my hat and gear and take it like a Redskin.

peace
But THAT AIN'T HAPPENING!

Re: What if we lose??

After 42 years of cheering for the Redskins, you take things in stride. Some of the losses are just a meaningful as the wins. Sonny Jurgensen was an exciting player on awful Redskins teams. That Clint Longley game still sticks. Those things just made me care for the team more.

If they lose to the Eagles today, I'll focus on how 9-7 is much better than 6-10 and on Monday will say "just wait until next year." Of course, Sunday night, I'll kick the dog and beat my children.

The Eagles could go 0-6 in the NFC East and that must really stick in their craw. THAT worries me the most. The Redskins should be ready and I expect them to win.

Like we'd expect anything different!

This team has already accomplished alot in this season. Even if we make the playoffs, there is still room for improvement. Regardless of the outcome, we have to be feeling pretty good about our progress.

It's just hard to think about the possibility of there being no football for so long. Why can't this be like baseball? It seems as if that sport's on any time you turn on the TV.

that's nothing. try staying up the whole day without sleep. I've done that several times before. Anyways, if we still lose while we're playing the eagles backups, I'll know it's because we truly suck. There is no way we lose to the eagles while they are playing backups.

Yah i have pulled a cool 32 hours before. It was a marathon. A couple years ago me and my cousins decided that we would have 1 week to prepare. We could sleep for as long as we wanted for that 1 week and then starting at 10 am on a sunday we had to stay up as long as possible. I started to feel sick. I wish we didn't have to sleep, its a waste of time

I just woke up at 1:45 because SOMEONE who frequently visits this board called at this ungodly hour.

ONLY A FEW HOURS AWAY FROM RAIDERS GIANTS!!!

The thing is that scares me the most about this weekend that this could be my last full day with redskins football for 9 months. What happens people?? Do they just go home? how can they just go home? it can't end like that can it. What if they beat us in the last seconds. o the horror. then we will all watch that stupid cowwhore game hoping for a miracle and then...... i don't know maybe we'll get it I can handle that we won't make the playoffs but to end it on such a sour SOUR SOUR!!! note would be a horrible feeling.

The only thing that can make me feel bad about losing is if the refs take it away from us or we plain just don't play well, by that I mean, unforced turnovers, bad play calling, mental mistakes...we play well and Philly plays better and the season is over, I will be at peace with myself and this season ...

Re: What if we lose??

if the redskins lose, i will be semi content. After all, we did have a winning record, and we proved that we can be a big contender next year. We showed a lot of people how good we can be.

Re: What if we lose??

We get to spend watching the playoffs with teams that we beat or got screwed to for the most part. This is the best/worse time year for football. Best it is getting good watching the playoffs and all the bowls. Worse is that football is almost over until August and Areana Football dont fix my fix or neither does NFL Europe. The XFL almost did and was kind of fun for me to watch. So everyone when you go to bed tonight make sure you say a prayer for the Redskins tomorrow. And especially if you go to church tomorrow.

GO SKINS!!!
