Ahhh the howell hate is hilarious.. if not here, somewhere, he'll get a chance with a real supporting cast of o-line and coaches.. til then no judgement from me. I still think he'll be just fine if his mentality isn't completely shot from this dumpster fire.

Is Sam doesn’t play another down this season (probably won’t)
His final stats will be 3624 yards 19 TDS 17 INTs 4 Fumbles 2 lost He leads the league in total TOs and Sacks taken. There was some awesome flashes this season from Sam, the two eagles games he was ridiculously good. The Bills game (5 TOs) Was ridiculously bad. I still think with a good OL and Run game he could be a Ryan Fitzpatrick type starter. His accuracy issues are very similar to Ryan’s were and some decisions he makes. The good thing about Howell is he's basically free for 2 more years. Drafting another QB doesn't mean he's gone. He's a 5th rounder. That is where you draft back-up type QB's.
He can win the position w/ new coaches or be a good back-up. I think he's definitely 1 of the best 64 QBs in the league, so we have a spot for him.

Too funny, so much for Brissett starting on Sunday:
Brissett lands on injury report with a tight hammy. Very interesting if they have to go back to Sam. Never good to land on injury report on a Friday. Fuller, St.-Juste, Butler, Larsen, Leno all out for Sunday's game. Jacoby Brissett was limited with a hamstring injury. He reported tightness after practice yesterday. Questionable for Sunday.

Last year Heinicke 'nudged' the Coaching staff to start Sam. Maybe this is Jacoby's subtle way of nudging...
Or he has no desire to play behind that O-line.
