Re: The Sam Howell Thread
While I'm not giving up on Sam, it may be time to pull him and see what JB can do. Save Sam from the humiliation of shattering the sack record and protect him from getting hurt. EB is going to ruin this kid.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
EB has been coaching up Howell to just get rid of the damn football.....I think his best bet is to start over throwing the ball towards a covered receiver for incompletions instead of taking these needless sacks.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Against the Giants Sam didn’t even have time to take a three step drop and they were all over him.
Sit him down and wait until we have a real coaching staff and at least one olineman whose spirit animal isn’t a turnstile. |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
On the first two sacks he sure did. Sack 1 he took about 5 seconds before getting hit. Both Samuel and Dotson were open. The second was much less time, but looked as thought it was a designed screen to Gibson. only took 2.5 seconds, but for whatever reason Howell didn't throw the ball. Gibson was wide open and would have had at least 10 yards to run before anyone was near him. Had he hit on both of those 2, it would have put the Giants back on their heals a bit which would by default give a little more time. It most Likely would have had NYG running less blitzes too as the first two would have been beaten!

Sam would be lucky to be the next Hannah Montana. The Cyruses are a national treasure. The Gen Y version of the Partridge Family

Idk guru, to say that a couple throws early in the game would have changed the way their D completely embarrassed our line is extremely debatable. I do not remember those two sacks, so ill take your word for it. What I do remember is them being on Sam like flies on shit for most of the game. Sam isn’t perfect but Our o-line is a shambles and needs to be fixed regardless . |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Yeah that was a HS level mistake from a pro qb. He literally just threw it up in the air

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
The fact they have Sam throwing 40+ times tells you that EB doesn't know what he's doing. Establish the run game. Hey, if your OL sucks than that's on you guys for selecting them this off-season.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Howell is the first Washington QB to have 400 yards and 4 Tds since 2015 (Kirk)

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Overall Sam played well but throwing 50+ times always means a loss. You can't win games with the run/ pass balance that we have.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Howell is not the problem with this team. I expect him to be the starter next year with a new coaching staff. Throwing for nearly 400 v. Philly is no joke.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Some people still think he sucks. He’s proven that with the line protecting him and if EB ever decides to run the fucking ball more, that he will thrive. In only 9 games he’s exceeding expectations.
