He loves to stick his hat in there and hit running backs...which I love. Smoot would sort of chuck himself at runners and hope they tripped over him.

Rogers is definitely a far better Redskin, especially as he will continue to get

better.
And a bit more mature as well.

arent the Vikings happier with his backup than with him? Hes presence was nice, but he clearly was replaceable and others have stepped up as vocal leaders.

I think in the long run Rogers will turn out to be better than Smoot. Rogers game seems similar to Smoot from what I have seen of him. He's a very good tackler and looks like hes got great hands....

The Vikings face an interesting situation this offseason. When Smoot got hurt nickelback Brian Williams stepped into the starting role opposite Winfield and hasn't given it up even with Smoot back.

Williams is a free agent this off-season. Will they keep him?
There would be a certain poetic justice to signing Williams. I doubt that is going to happen though.

Re: Do we miss Smoot?

In one word...no. If he had truly wanted to stay here and believed in continueing to build something with his teammates he would had stayed and not jumped ship. He pretty much bailed for money he would have gotten over a couple years instead right away if I understand all the talk about his contract. He was definitely a good player while here but didn't understand his role as the #2 cb and instead wanted #1 cb money. Springs was our unquestioned #1 cb last season so I'm cool with the stance the team made by finding out who truly wanted to wear the burgundy and gold and seemed to have made a good choice in Smoot's successor and I possibly an upgrade by as early as next season.

Plus why the heck r we dilly dallying about this right now any way? BRING ON NEW YORK!!!! BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

do we miss him? i'd said no ince we're 2 games up and have a chance to be 4 games up on our record last year with him... granted that's not a totally accurate comparision, but its as close as you're going to get.

I love hookers and why are you talking so much shit about them. I have a song for you to refer to and it's called "Perfect Gentlemen" by Wylcef Jean. Enjoy!
