Trade Arrington before June 1, his salary cap figure for 2006 would go up $800,000 from where it is now. Trade him after June 1, and you'll get a cap savings of $6 million + in 2006, but you'll carry a LOT of dead money in 2007.
I don't think it makes the most sense in the world to get rid of him yet, even if you do it post-June 1. Unless we had a crystal ball and could tell what will happen with the CBA over the next few years. |
