It's a good move by Moore. We're all talking about it, aren't we?

If that was his intention it sure worked, it definitely drummed up some controversy.

Controversy? What controversy? I thought we were all in agreement. Heck, me and Daseal agree on everything.

Just a follow-up on this story. The rights have been bought by Miramax from Disney, which of course is ironic since Miramax, while seemingly its own entity, is in fact owned by Disney

The main point is that this frees them up to distribute without taking any heat, because the Weinstein Bros. (aka Miramax) will releaes it themselves, not under the Miramax logo. So long as everyone has plausible deniability!

Moore learned from Mel Gibson on this one: it's the film "they" didn't want you to see!

Yes...but in this case there really are things that "they" don't want us too see. The Bushs and the Bin Laden families go back.

I am surprised at most of your feelings toward the Disney Corporation. What have they done that is so terrible? Try to be the biggest and best company they can be? No company is squeeky clean...NONE...not a damn one. So why is Disney labelled as an "evil empire"? They needed to compete with the other violent movie producers and they have. They have different levels of "wholesome" entertainment, and they range from "wholesome to violent". They would readily admit that, so what's the problem? Cause I'll tell you right now, I'd work for Disney in a second. They have extremely high standards for employment and strive for a perfect working environment. (not to mention they take care of thier employees).

About Moore...I think we can all agree that he's out to make his own pockets much fatter. I liked "bowling for columbine" but only for it's unvieling of the truth in certain cases...it was very long winded however. I don't have to agree with everything he said, especially for his morbid hatred for firearms, but he did a good job on the movie. Moore does have a need to expose truth, and that I can respect about him, I just wish he went about displaying his "knowledge, and research" in a more reputable fashion. Quite frankly I think the man is a putz.

I don't think anyone was trying to make Disney out as the Evil Empire, I personally just tried to show that they were far from squeaky clean and this whole thing was done to protect political power in Florida. As I said, I would do the same thing. I for one am anxious to see the movie, like Jsarno I don't agree with everything Moore says, but he also has a lot of very valid points. Every Republican I see seems to be petrified of him. Maybe his points are a bit too strong in some cases.
