It doesn't take long to recognize "it", if you know "it" when you see it. With some players, recognizing that they have "it" is almost instantaneous. Some poor doubting fans don't trust their own "it" sense and are afraid to admit to themselves that they sensed a player had "it" until "it" becomes undeniable. I'm excited about some of our young players who set off my "it" sense. Jonathan Allen definitely has "it". I believe that Derrius Guice has "it". I'm also getting some high readings on my "it" meter for Montez Sweat and Dwaine Haskins. |

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
My thing w/ Sims is how did a guy with his physical ability have so little production at Bama? Also Sims was only hurt the first few weeks of the season yet the staff shut him down. Why? I have little confidence that this staff can even develop a purely raw player like Sims.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Even with a player like Doc, the coaches simply have to get more out of him. Run more of the routes he's good at. I just have a feeling that a better staff would get his production up a bit. Never to true #1 NFL wr production cause he's not that kind of player, but more than 40 some catches in 16 games. That is just sad.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
You've made a great case with real evidence that the position coaches from 2004 should be upgraded.
The original question was about this staff. I can't think of a diamond in the rough type player leaving here recently and balling out with another team. I'm not defending the staff, I just don't understand the Doctson love. I don't know what folks see in him. There have been plenty of veiled statements since his drafting that indicates he might not have the type of mentality to be great, despite having the physical talent.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
#Redskins LT Trent Williams, not spotted in the building this morning, wants a new deal, I’m told. His deal was huge when he signed out, but the market has shifted greatly.
Can't blame him

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Telling the press this is a top 5 defense...and naming the Defensive staff the over-the-hill gang (self-naming nick names).
Sheehan rightfully points out, every Skins fan is tired of players, coaches talking out their ass and not backing it up on the field. Rob Ryan...who is new...comes out and immediately says bullshit like this. Sheehan saying Rob Ryan and I quote "should shut the f*ck up" and says John Allen takes the right approach saying, we done nothing and we got a lot to prove. Sheehan says Snyder should tell the Defensive coaches they are all fired if they aren't a top 5 defenses...cause we have serious invested draft capital and money (Collins) to be that. But its the flagrant talking out the ass...its annoying.
