Re: Madden 2006

Re: Madden 2006
I give it a solid 9. I agree with the lack of returns, but McCune has blocked 2 punts for me coming right through the middle, so that sort of makes up for it.

Re: Madden 2006
I have beaten Madden 06 already, I thought the most challenging thing about that game was the passing.

Re: Madden 2006
The punt return (or lack there of) is hard and the passing is tedious.
So far so good. (I traded my 2nd round pick for the 2nd overall pick in the draft directly after, that makes it kinda lame.)

Re: Madden 2006
i bought FAs in franchise (without signing bonuses) and immediately traded them, bought up 70s FAs and got low round picks for free and traded up to having 6 first round picks and 17 players with 90+ ratings and the low backups were 75-80 rookies... (get ty law for 9.39mill a year and trade him for chad johnson a 3rd and a 4th)... so that's kinda lame. It kills everyone's morale, but you'll stomp right through the superbowl and that'll fix everything.
also, the new passing works great for running an option offense, and it DOES work on all madden, just get a QB with 80+ speed and acceleration (vick, mcnabb, or seneca wallace/adrian mcpherson for cheap). anyways, i think its better, but there's still too many exploits. I also think the training camp in franchise is kinda borked, since you can use an 86HB running against 370+ points of defenders or a 98HB running against 240points for the same amount of improvement... whereas the QB, K, P, WR, and DB drills are much more fair. |

Re: Madden 2006
Well I still am a NF2K series fan the gameplay was better and the AI tougher I haven't play it alot just started the superstar mode the trainingcamp its quite boring in this mode becasue basicly for you to have a good improvement you have to select a play taht gives you almsot a sure TD and a def that alows it and do it for at least 11 reps its not like you can try to work in your offense because it can damage your players grade.
Also had anyone been drafted in the first or second round I couldn't the passing feature is nice but what I don't like is that you have to keep pressed the burst botton to go fast (instead of tapping like the n2k) and that doesn let you do other moves that easily the otehr thing is that the AI doesn't adjust so fast to the plays your are doing you con toggle between 3 plays and be sueccesfull and the defensive line moves arent that usefull you can't get away fro myour bloker with a swing move you have to push him through the QB for orther to get the sack. |

Re: Madden 2006
I've totally lost interest for this years Madden.
I'm hooked on NCAA '06, a much better game IMO. |

I've hardly played any Madden at all. I'm all about NHL 2K6
