$19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
Twenty bucks to ship a 75 dollar jersey, for chrissakes. I want the Cooley jersey, but I will just have someone I know up there buy me one and ship it to me.
That is ridiculous. |

Are you serious?! That is ridiculous.....that's way too much. Unless it's overnight shipping or something, that's just a ripoff.

Shit half the site just bought A JERSEY for 19.99. My man, go to finishline.com. Even the expnesive jersey's are much cheaper. Its like 60 bucks on finishline.com compared to redskins.com. Finishline has just about everyone.

Re: $19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
I will look on Finishline for the Cooley jersey. I checked about a week ago, and they didn't have it, but I will check again.
I can usually do good on ebay. I think I got my Portis last year for 30 bucks. Cooley is a hard one to find, but I will wait. I can't justify spending 95 bucks on a jersey. In the meantime, I sent Redskins.com an e mail to ask if they ever have discounted shipping, or if they have lower rates than those given. We will see what happens there! |

Re: $19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
Oops. It says 14.99, which still seems pretty pricy to ship what is essentially a shirt. I would think the 5 to 9 dollar range would seem right. I know gas prices are bad, but sheesh.

Re: $19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
I went through this same train-wreck about 6 months ago when I bought my Cooley jersey. I saw the shipping charges & flipped out. I sent them an email asking what the hell was going on. Apparantly, the shipping charges are calculated by a percentage of what the item costs. So, for a $75 jersey, the shipping is $20 whether it weighs half a pound or 50 pounds, which just seems like reaming your fans for simply trying to support the team. I don't even want to think about what shipping for an authentic jersey would be.

That is crazy. Most other places that sell jerseys discount shipping or offer free shipping.
You shouldn't have to pay 20% of something to ship it. Hell, I will just wait. Sooner or later, one will show up on e bay. |

Re: $19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
Think about it this way...
Unless you buy off eBay, then to customize a jersey, it's 90 bucks just about anywhere plus shipping. You can get the Cooley jersey at the Redskins store for 75 plus 15 shipping, or $90. So no matter what, you're gonna throw down $90. If I'm not mistaken, the Redskins stores and the stadium has the jerseys for a bit more than the website...

The stadium is like two dollars cheaper only because when you get it online, you have to pay the shipping.

Re: $19.99 to ship a jersey from Redskins.com
Their just getting cash on the back end period. that cash amount is guaranteed and they know they will get it. so they can afford to let the shirt sell for less when they get you on the back end of the sale. it's a rip off. but what can you do.keep looking and be patient. you will get what your looking for.
