Re: 2016 NFL Draft (2nd and 3rd round) Day 2
I wonder whether they have him as a safety.

Listening to all of McLovin's interviews about wanting "football players", he could have written the analysis on this guy:

Cravens can play! Does it all: Plays the run, can cover, can rush the passer. I wanted Billings but what do I know? We just got a lot better at ILB/S (Hybrid).

I like that he's multi position type player and has speed and range. Could be a good fit for our D i hope he works out well and balls the hell out!

He definitely has some flexibility on where he can play, kind of like a poor mans Troy Polomalu possibly. If he's playing primarily safety I like the pick, though I am curious who they have their eye on for defensive tackle and when/if the trigger gets pulled.

If its true what they say about this being a passing league than we sure are loading up. Norman, and these two picks really should improve our game.

Can everyone stop using the expression "poor mans". It makes me feel like a cheap whore. Lol. Maybe one day people will say he is a poor mans Su'a Cravens!

Re: 2016 NFL Draft (2nd and 3rd round) Day 2
I absolutely think they see him as primarily a strong safety. DeAngelo Hall is clearly best suited to the free safety spot with corner coverage skills (albeit diminishing). Cravens can hit, he's very well suited to playing in the box. And probably most importantly, he is an answer to covering tight ends in the slot, something we currently completely lack.
Great pick. Remember, McCloughan likes his players big. If he envisioned him as an LB he wouldn't have gone with Cravens. But he's huge for a S. Safety is solved!

Just saw this on Bleacher Report:
PFF Draft @PFF_College Over the past two seasons hybrid LB/S Su'a Cravens held opponents to a 52.3 QB rating when targeting his coverage

For those freaking out abot DL, from Keim:
Reminder: have said a few times the redskins feel this draft offers quality d-linemen into the fourth round. Deep year at this spot
