Cousins has arrived
All this talk about the QB when the D was hot garbage. Typical.

Re: Cousins has arrived
u would think when guys like Trent say "we have our QB" and others have said this, that fans would be happy esp after 20 yrs of having none.

Or the fact that we had no running game all season.

[QUOTE=MTK;1137313]Good for you bro, you're a prophet. Pat yourself on the back. Maybe you'll be right again.
I'm sure I will I'm not talking about supporting a guy no matter what. I had plenty of concerns about RG3 going back to the injury. Those are your words in response to me,you did not explain yourself for me to take it any other way. Cousins is still coming into his own, but I'm ok with committing to him and seeing what happens. On that I agree with you-if it's for the right price. If he's asking for top 5 qb money for what amounts to around 8 or 9 good games in his career, are you still committed to him?

![]() As for your last paragraph,so you're admitting he was pressing and didnt play well, lol He hasnt had a running game all year,so nothing changed in that regard. Also the defense has sucked all year also for the most part. What changed yesterday is the defense didnt get any turnovers to help bail them out.

Re: Cousins has arrived
I'll say it again, Kirk had a bad game cause the OL played poorly allowing 6 sacks and being pressure constantly. As the OL goes so does the QB. Perfect example is Rogers, he had an excellent game cause his OL protected him unlike the last couple of weeks.

Even if that isn't his intentions or meaning, it should be. Let's be honest. Kirk wasn't given a fair shake due to Danny's love for RG3. Kirk was denied a QB competition that 3rd year because lil danny wanted his BFF to start. You don't think that isn't in the back of his mind? If I were Kirk, I'd go to the highest bidder as well. Hell, even at the beginning of the year, we heard SS talk about how it was Snyder that Kirk needed to prove something to. (beyond Jay) Even that hug was awkward by Danny the other weekend. He knows good and damn well that Bruce and Danny didn't want him here. That said, the risk you take by not signing him long term is the same risk the Raven faced. They went into that season haggling over 1mil/yr on a 15-16mil contract, and ended up having to pay him 20+ mil after that Super Bowl run (which is hurting that team big time). If you don't pay Kirk a 5yr/85-90mil contract and franchise him. Chances are, if he does very well that franchise year, that price tag will now vault from the 17-18mil/yr range to the 22-23mil/yr range. I'd rather go with the 17/18mil/yr with a lower guaranteed than wait next year.

What I am admitting is there are other factors at play, other teammates at play, and that for you to blame Kirk for the loss is ridiculous. That is all. |

Rite....hey - some fans just need to complain. It is what they are used to and for good reason I guess. Lets have KC walk. Maybe we can find a guy that will break all Kirks records and do it against winning teams without a whole lotta help. Hell - those guys come around all the time. |

Not even considering the franchise tag; doing a multi-year deal all the way. It is the Cousins has arrived thread. |

It could come close to that on a yearly avg but his cap hit would be much less for the first couple of years. |

![]() I never said that and I never thought that.I said Kirk didnt play well in the 2nd half, but I was not placing the blame on him for the loss. But if Kirk"s contract demands are going to be among the top qb's in the league,{which remains to be seen, but very likely}then being able to overcome adverse conditions{like in Sunday's game}and win is something he should have on his resume don't you think? Tampa game was a great steppingstone, but Tampa's not that good a team.

Yes the whole team was off yesterday, BUT COUSINS THROWS WERE BLAH BLAH BLAH. Dont try n backtrack now. That there is a fine line you're walking if you say you never blamed Cousins, never thought that even?!? Lol. Come on man. Edit: i dont really care, but like Matty said - the defense got absolutely torched Sunday and we are talking about the QB?!? The QB who didnt have a terrible game but was a little bit off?!? You are completely questioning KC at this point and good for you and your opinion. This is America. However, like I have said to others, thank God you are not involved with the decision making process of this team. Lol. |
