Re: Cousins has arrived

Cousins has plenty of room to elevate his game, especially since he is about to get paid, but I'd hardly point his way when it comes to the biggest concerns from the game last night.

QB Pressure can make even the best look average. QB pressure made Brady look pedestrian in 2 Superbowls. I am not saying Cousins should never be expected to handle pressure, but when you get it consistently, on top of the fact that the running game is so awful that the the opposing defense doesn't even have to stay honest? Forget about it.

When it comes to the pass rush? I've said it for a few seasons now, we have been trying to get by with crossing our fingers that the sum of the parts will equal more than what each individual has to offer. Kerrigan is a B+ just like Orakpo was a B+ as well. Preston Smith has had a great rookie year, but so did the other two guys and but it didn't translate into them growing into elite pass rushers. Our pass rush has a couple Aldon Smith's but no A+ caliber Justin Smith who takes on a double team and still pushes the pocket backwards. You need someone along the D-line who is an A+ in order for the B+ players to be effective consistently.
