Contrast that to how we played in the 2nd game, where it was go out and attack and score as much as you can, as early as you can. I know Sean Lee was missing from the game, but it's not like it was the running game that made any kind of difference early in that anyway which is where Lee shines the most.

It really makes you wonder how different this offense could have possibly looked early in the season if Cousins had a full camp taking 1st team reps. There is no way we lose that home opener to Miami in that fashion.
This is the winner. I'll tell you why.

2 people I talk to on the team have told me that the offense has become more aggressive because Kirk has been asking for it. Kirk actually has progressed quicker then the coaches thought he would.

After the first Dallas game, they started giving Kirk demand of audibles at the line as well. Before he wasn't able to change the play unless it was one of the called plays in the huddle (They usually call 2 plays). Now, he's basically been given full reigns of the offense because he's been so comfortable running it.

I honestly think this will be the direction the offense goes. More spread and 5WR sets and taking advantage of mismatches with our playmakers. Similar to New England.

This is not a guy who is having a "flash" year. That is why you saw reports of the Redskins organization wanting to lock Kirk up before the Dallas game. They have seen his progression and ability, so they are ready to commit.

Re: Cousins has arrived

Cousins has definitly arrived and what I'm looking forward to the most is having a starting QB that will be around a few years. instead of wondering from year to year who its going to be. We haven't had QB stability since the Theisman days

Imagine that! A QB of ours that has progressed. I like the sound of that.

Id love to see some five wr sets!
In all fairness to Griffs "flash" year (which it was in retrospect), im sure that the team as well as everyone of us thought he would be the man for years to come. Hell it was not until pre-season of this year (over two years later) that it became obvious he was not the guy. On top of that Kirk became the man during his 4th year in the league. We really have no choice at this point but to lock him up. Luckily for the team and the fans the choice is obvious.
