And before Mike Joey T. Put his reputation on the line, people thought he was an idiot, blah, blah, blah. How did it turn out?

The people that are actually around pro football daily, coaches, players and former players, they know when a guy can play and can't play. Theismann knew cause he's been a QB before and he's close to the team. He's seen endless practices and so forth. Shanahan knew as well cause he's been around and coached the best.

Where Theismann was wrong was he believed that KC was going to get cut after he was benched last year. He missed on that one. I also think where a lot of people missed on KC was everyone underestimated his determination to improve. The guy worked on his craft and had his days mapped out every 15 minutes. Pretty impressive.

I don't remember Joe T making the comment about him being cut. Not saying he did not just that I dont recall it. Anyway i wonder if meant he thought DS and the front office would make a hasty decision based on the track record of our franchise over the last 20 years, or that he actually thought KC wasnt going to ever pan out?
