Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
I don't think that is a good thing, mainly because of what Lotus keeps saying. If he has to sleep on it now, then next year he won't be happy.
I am not saying we need to blow him away, but it needs to be structured to give him a way to know he will be happy. |

Is his agent still at the facility though? I'd have to assume everyone's done for the day

A more generous signing bonus and years as has been suggested would require any team signing him to jump through more hoops should they have a change in heart.

Lake Lewis Jr @LakeLewis 7h @DaveOwensWUSA I was told its a done deal. I pressed and was told he wants to be here and it was done. #DJaxInDC Expand I'm guessing with a story as big as this everyone wants to be credited with the ones who 'break the news.'

That being said I find it unsettling a talented player getting cut in a non-contract year?

Then of course there are the complaints from Eagle fans about tardiness, lack of effort, blah blah blah. Though I'm fine to put it under sour grapes many of us, myself included, ignored similar complaints from Philly fans about McNabb. Now with that said I want Desean to play for the Skins. I've seen the kind of impact Jones and White have had with Ryan in Atlanta and I can only imagine that the same type of supporting cast would only be beneficial to RG3's development. Also as much as I would love to see upgrades all across the line save for LT the fact remains that this line is nearly as bad as it has been in years past when it was virtually neglected. For starters they are among the best in the league when it comes to run blocking, at least when we're running zone. Also from what I understand Gruden's system is designed to get the ball out quick and limit hits to the QB so at the very least that should go a long way towards fixing the pass protection problems. After all if Shanhan's running game can make running backs look better then they really are whats to stop a playbook employing numerous 3 step drops to improve pass protection? Of course all of this speculation until we see the actual on field product.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
I say this is going to go beyond 24 hrs. Apparently both parties want to make a deal, but it's clear both are playing the market. DJax wants to see the market, BA is happy to let him do it so if he signs it's not a Vinny contract. He probably schedules visits with Oakland and Buffalo in the next few days. Honestly, if we sign him, I'd prefer we sign him after those visits b/c he didn't like their offers. Probably not going to happen but would be the best scenario for the Skins. Means his asking price is too high.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
he's like aldrick robinson but good.
it sounds like it's not going to be the one year deal i hoped for, oh well. we haven't restructured any contracts this offseason, is that correct?

No, those are the kind of photos that get the person that posted them railed by others for not being management material.
