There are bigger problems with how how history is being taught than that. In every major war somehow people think Americans were always the good guys. I have no problems with guns as long as people are consistent across the board, that includes drugs, speech, and every thing else. People always seem to pick and choose which "rights" should be protected (see Fox News or any major news channel for a prime example).

I thought we were talking about guns here so to double check I went back to reread my info to see if I was wrong ,nope no cars killed anyone in Newtown on this day anyway so guns did kill more people than cars did ,crazy right ?

Oregon Woman Stops Intruder with her Handgun, waits 23 minutes for Cops.

Her dogs did not stop the intruder. Her home alarm system did not stop the intruder. Not even her “No Trespassing signs” stopped the man who broke into her house. But the moment Lisa Atkin pulled out her handgun the intruder stopped in his tracks.
Then she had to wait 23 minutes for police to arrive at her rural home on that Wednesday morning. So much for the “just call 911 and you will be fine” approach that the anti-gunners want us to take. When seconds count… well, you know the rest.
