I'm still indifferent to Orakpo. I just dont' want us to put a bunch of money into him and it ends up not being worth it. I'm fine if we sign him, and I'm fine if we allow him to walk.

I agree. Rak has not played great. He's been hurt 2/3 years and this year has played okay. If he wants a reasonable salary, sure. If not, I'm okay with the Rob Jackson era starting for the millions in cap space we'll save.

Re: Skins Giants postgame
If we were desperate with no cash to spend like 2012 and 2013, sure, take a chance on Martin but I don't want him when we can actually afford an option that doesn't have a history of being a quitter. Same goes for drug addicts, drunk drivers, rapists and those facing a big ban for multiple PED offenses.
So we bring in Jonathan Martin and D-Hall gets on his case to step up his game and give the D a chance to catch their breath...what does he do? I keep hearing names like Britt, Talib, even Fing Incognito on here. No. We can actually afford to improve this team. We need to clean house of guys who don't care like Fred Davis, guys who can't stay pit of trouble like Meriweather and guys who can't play like Polumbus. Really for the first time in the Shanahan era, we can actually make some positive improvements. No more Vinny ciontracts on the books, no more Vinny cap penalty. We're missing draft picks but that doesn't concern me, we've watch them turn nothiing into a lot on draft days and they can do it again.

Re: Skins Giants postgame
The dude lost his job to one of the biggest, partying fools in the NFL over the last 10 years. The Dolphins were forced to trade for a dude who had hosted a party where strippers knocked out the guess with big bottles of champaign. The Dolphins said Martin is so terrible, we need Bryan McKinnie now. We know that for a fact.

Not sure I'm ok with letting one of the few legit starters on D walk. We have enough holes as it is.

Re: Skins Giants postgame
We could've really used Jordan Reed last night.
RG3 is a one man team out there. Outside of Alfmo, I feel like he really doesn't trust any of his receivers, hence why even if he has wide open receivers he'd rather just run with the ball. So far RG3 has thrown, run and even threw a shitty block. Next thing we'll have him trying to catch the ball.

Re: Skins Giants postgame
He does seem to roll around a lot but I guess a concussion is a concussion. Doughty had his second one of the year last night. So we'll probably see more Meriweather-Rambo out there.
(Read as: a lot more missed tackles)

He's always limping around Matt, cmon we say it every game, I like the guy and hope he's a great player but he's got to stay on the field.

Giants’ defense said Alfred Morris, not RG3, was the man to stop | ProFootballTalk
Game plan was to stop Alfmo. They did to an extent, but got an assist second half with Shanny/Kyle.

Re: Skins Giants postgame
I'm just beside myself that people are even entertaining this idea of getting rid of Brian Orkapo. I mean, really? Let's get rid of one of the better players on that defense, because he hasn't reached Charles Mann status yet. Rak is a young gun. Yes, he's not a Pro Bowler this year, but he's one of the better (as you said Matt, legit) starters on that defense. There are so many other pressing needs on that defense - needs that probably won't be able to be fully addressed in one off-season, so the wise thing to do is to go ahead and dig an even deeper hole with the defense by getting rid of Brian Orkapo. LOL! Wow.
