For the record, Fletch led the team with 10 tackles, 7 solo. Riley had 9, 7 solo.

I think he led the team with getting trampled as well.

Merling, Potter, Gumbs, and Murphy would be my candidates for roster moves. Through Rex in there too for a person who could be moved.

Carrying 3 QBs and 3 kickers seems a bit much for a 1-3 team with help needed on teams and defense.

Are there any roster moves that will may make in the bye?

We have two kickers (Rocca is a punter not a kicker) because Forbath is hurt. We cannot afford to let Potter go until Forbath is healthy. And with both our starting and backup QBs coming off injuries (though I know Cousins' injury wasn't that bad), it is not wise to let Rex go. I'm sure the roster spots will come from Thompson (who I think is pretty useless) and somewhere in the d-line.

I think...
Merling gone. I don't like seeing Golston out there. Can't wait for Jenkins.
Rex gone. I don't see why he has held a clipboard for 2 yrs. easiest damn job and way to make $1million. If ever we lose Kirk and rob, the season wouldn't matter anyhow plus he's not even dressed to play anyhow.

Fletch was second in missed tackles with 7.

I honestly didn't need an explanation of our kickers. I get it. My hope is Kai is healthy enough to go ahead and cut Potter for the bye week and if we need to bring him back for the Dallas game then another move can be made, or maybe they can put him on the PS just so they have a guy to do special teams work. BTW can we bring in a punter for a workout, Sav isn't really getting it done anymore.

As far as the QB goes. I understand you POV, but at this point what is Rex really doing? III and Cousins are healthy, and most guys are usually coming off some kind of injury. It's not like we couldn't resign him if need be, and he is never active. He is always wearing street clothes.

But like I said, I see Merling and a DB or even Thompson (like you pointed out) as being players that could be expendable with the return of key pieces of our defense.

And the answer is Potter and Merling per Grant Paulsen.
