Also, he's learning how to play QB in the NFL. There is a lot of learning that can only happen in games, over time. When he makes a "rookie" mistake, it is an opportunity for him to learn from it.

When he is fully recovered from his injury and has gained more experience, I think RGIII will become a great QB.
Well RGIII says he is 100% so how long can we use that excuse. Personally I have come to the conclusion RGIII is just not a pocket QB. He likes to be moving and seems to throw the ball much better when he is moving even if he is just rolling out.

You can use the "excuse" probably through the end of next month easily. He is a 2nd year qb who didn't have the benefit of an offseason and who is used to getting by on his exceptional speed, and now is finding limits in that. Not that he can't be a pocket passer. I have seen several drop back passes of his that were perfect, but frankly our line is not designed for a drop back pass style, and he is still working out the kinks and rust (regardless of what he says) in his running. I think we have seen a bit of progression in his game every week, and after the bye, he will be past the 9 month mark, which is medically significant in the healing process.

I don't think it's fair to say he's not a pocket passer, but when he can move easily, the whole offense works better.

Too early to say that. Steve Young was a running QB and he made the change to become a HOF QB. RG3 needs to work on it and he will.

He never stopped running the ball. He actually ran just as much in his later years then he did in his early days.

How can you make that assumption when there is no pocket to throw from?

Our line doesn't create a pocket.

Or how about just the fact he's a 2nd year player coming off a major injury and adjusting to becoming more of a pro style QB.

I love that some people already have their minds made up on the guy.

Admittedly I don't jack about college ball, beyond reading and watching clips of guys we draft, but wasn't the buzz about RG that he ran a pro-style offense in college? A spread offense I think that had him dropping back a ton to pass?

Not that I'm arguing with you. I think RG hasn't had the reps/practice for obvious reasons. He's telegraphing throws, not seeing open receivers, and pass protection is baaaaaaaaaaaaad. In short, RG is the least of our problems, even limiting the discussion to just offense.

I did pick Redskins to beat raiders in my ESPN pickem, yet I was still surprised by a comeback win of all things

He barely operated from under center in college and he definitely didn't run a pro style system. He didn't even have a play book.
