Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!

It is week 2. So we shouldn't overreact too much to who looks good right now, but right now it is Denver and SF as obvious favorites. But again, I've seen a lot of great regular season teams lose their first game in the playoffs when they were "obvious" favorites.

If Clady's injury is serious that would be a huge issue for the Denver OLine.

All these teams have major problems. Eagles loss today was probably the worst of the bunch. U can't let San Diego come to your home opener and win. That told me a ton today.

Our coaching staff needs to get this shit together now

That makes our losing at home to those same Eagles look even worse. At least the rest of the division also lost.

Poor Bucs. Lost on the last seconds of the game for the 2nd straight week. Need to do something with Freeman, he stunk it up. That Bucs D is pretty legit though.

New Orleans is another team I'm not impressed with.

Only the Broncos have looked good thus far, even the 49ers do not look great tonight.

Also it feels like every game gets delayed now.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!

I watched the Detroit game after our game and that game was a mess. Lions could have dominated the game and put it away the first half, but a turnover and some more stupid penalties kept the Cards lurking around. We have a decent shot at our first win next Sunday if we can play a full 60 minutes of football. All in all, the games today were mediocre for the most part. A few close ones that came down to the wire, but rather boring for the most part. I am not all that concerned about the Skins if we can beat the Lions then take out Oakland and go 2-2 into the bye.

Some of these passing totals are getting crazy, even with guys in losses. Vick and Eli both threw over 400 yards in losses so far this year. A 300 yard passing game is nothing special anymore. Insane

I agree Chico, where has the defensive art gone?

You know what I've never liked about our defense, is that we are predictable and show our play formation the whole time before the snap.

If you watch Pittsburghs defense, they move guys all over and around and overload players on different sides of the field. Our defense we just get set and stay in one position. Maybe I'm not describing well for you all but ill have to show screen shots to show and explain it better.

Supposed to be one of the benefits of a 3-4. The fact that you can move right before the snap and still maintain your gap responsibility. They even teach you that in high school.

Well I think the fines/PI penalties and how offensive linemen can pretty much do anything now make it extremely difficult to play defense at all.

Well the redskins suck at doing that.
