He was probably on the NFL scrap heap because he's a 32 year old LB. While he's still been productive there's not a huge market for LBs his age. |

I watched Barnetts Press conf. He seems like he is a good team guy and has a good attitude. Like Matty said, he is 32 and teams don't really go after players that age anymore.

Good guy to put in as a relief and can fill a void in the event of injury. Lots of vets still out there looking for work. His age is a factor, but the way the new CBA is structured with vet minimums and such, it is just cheaper for teams to develop through the draft. |

A commenter on the Comcast page made a good comment: Barnett knows how to win a Super Bowl and brings that experience to the team.

I see that the minor injuries are starting to kick in for a lot of guys. As long as they stay minor and not major (knock on wood) then we re good.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread wk 1
No argument there. But more folks with SB-winning experience is still better.

Fletcher and Barnett both know what it takes, and what it feels like, and that's a good thing.

Anyone know the easiest/best way to get VIP passes? It used to be you could give blood and get them (not that I need that incentive to give blood ). REALLY want to get some cool pics and last Saturday it was slammed and I couldn't even get close.
