So, upon reflection, I think the end result of the Carriker injury and Jenkins suspension is that both Baker and Nield make the team. With Baker and cofield able to switch out to DE in the 3-4 set, it allows the team to keep a pure NT like Nield for the additional depth.

Getting really tired of these drug suspensions. Losing Jenkins on top of Carriker is a big hit.

Did you steal that from my post one page back.

But yeah I agree unless we really can get something out of Branch? and Merlling.

So whats the plan the first four games in Jenkins spot? Wouldnt mind Chris Baker over there on some plays and then sliding Cofield to the outside with Nield in the middle. Coefield and a healthy Nield and Bowen on the other side could be nasty. This situation hurts, but Im just thrilled Orakpo is back on that line for the rush. Contract year too? Orakpo to 10 sacks the first 10 games easy.

I'm pretty disappointed in Jenkins. This year should've been the year he proved he was worth a second round pick, instead he's going to miss 1/4 of the season over some dumb shit.

I know it's only wiki, maybe your or SS or other knowledgeable people can list players not mentioned off the top of your head:

A list of recent NFL suspensions)

September 10, 2012 4 games Joe Haden CB Cleveland Browns
September 18, 2012 3 games Clark Haggans LB San Francisco 49ers
October 8, 2012 4 games Will Hill FS New York Giants
October 13, 2012 4 games Aqib Talib CB Tampa Bay Buccaneers
October 28, 2012 4 games Eric Wright CB Tampa Bay Buccaneers
November 9, 2012 4 games Brandon Bolden RB New England Patriots
November 20, 2012 4 games Winston Guy SS Seattle Seahawks
November 26, 2012 4 games Jermaine Cunningham DE New England Patriots

We are getting more than our share. Gawd we're as bad as the SeaHags! Can't Shanny lay down the law or something? Or is there some easily correctable breakdown somewhere?

Jenkins? What is going on?!!!
I'm not too relieved to hear Golston is next man up. The team is loaded with NT's. some of you have proposed Coffield slide out to DE but didn't Baker backup Jenkins last season? I can't see his big self able to play DE- didn't think he had that sort of speed/skillset.

Damn the Defense is taking a hit. Scary to think the secondary now has the most depth.

Leave Cofield at NT, he's just too good there.

How is Will Hill not suspended for more than four games his second time around?

He makes zero sense as a replacement for Robinson. So my only guess is they really believe in Muckelroy to step up and for Mays to take Muck's spot on ST.

More likely though is he's just visiting and nothing more

But who knows, they need bodies so they may just end up signing him. He won't be the only visit though
