Re: Fences to Mend?

i dont care whether Haynesworth is a problem here or not - i'd rather have a young, quality left tackle to protect mcnabb than have haynesworth play 3-4 NT or RDE 60% of our defensive snaps. we've switched to a 3-4 defense, which he doesnt really fit, and we just traded for a QB - and that trade will be for nothing if he's not protected.

Re: Fences to Mend?

My only problem with getting rid of Haynesworth is due to the fact that Shanahan has had trouble with defense for a while now. I figured that getting Haynesworth would at least provide a high floor. Man Rolando McClain would be perfect for this team though but it sounds like we're not getting a first round pick.

well if we got a 2nd for haynesworth and traded down with a team like sanfrancisco, we could certainly use one of those picks on McClain. I have the feeling the skins (and other teams) are going to be very very busy in the weeks leading up to, and during, the draft.

Haynesworth is very risk-averse after last season. That has begun his undoing. I like him and I think he's a stud, but Shanahan will boot him like he has done with others unless he simply can't move him.
