Fences to Mend?
As you all know Albert Haynesworth was discussed in the trade for Donovan McNabb and the Eagles wanted nothing to do with it. Also according to ESPN Insider Laron Landry was also discussed in trade talks. How do you guys feel the Redskins are going to approach this since everyone knows Haynesworth is not scared of speaking his mind. Same for Laron?

I agree with something you said! Incredible. |

No need to mend fences. I am not sure how much is fact and how much is rumor when it comes to who was offered. |

Personally, I do not think Shannahan or Haslett have any loyalty to Haynesworth, and basically picture him as an overpaid slacker who is standoffish with authority. I think Shanahan gives two shits what Haynesworth thinks. Like it or not, he is a pawn in Shanahans plans to get to where he wants to be, in the SuperBowl. If he doesn't like it, then he can go complain about it to his offseason personal trainer who is so good, even after his regimine, you still have to take breathers after two plays. |
Re: Fences to Mend?
Let them say what they want. Allen and Shanahan were not brought in to play nice, but to do whatever it takes to make this a winning franchise again. They don't owe anyone on the roster anything.

Crystalized my thoughts eloquently. And I'll add....both need to get with the program, keep their mouths shut and play. |
Re: Fences to Mend?
That's life in the NFL. I don't see it as a huge deal that both sides can't move on from.

Man Eff Haynesworth. He's on his back huffing and puffing like a cheap tart on every other play. Personal trainer, more like personal chef. Landry has been tarnished in my eyes since getting beasted on MNF. Those big guns didn't seem to help him much then, ha! Trade Landry for a grilled cheese, Haynesworth for a glazed ham, and CP for a pack of Kools. |

Amen brother! These guys are pros and thats part of the game. |
Re: Fences to Mend?
They should trade Al out of the division if they want to get rid of him. Even a lazy Al was OWNING Dockery in TC last preseason and I doubt Rabach pinching in on the double team would provide much help.

Re: Fences to Mend?
I think the media (i.e. ESPN980) is making a bigger deal than AH or Landry are. Honestly, it is a non-story in my opinion.

Re: Fences to Mend?
if we could trade AH for a top 40 pick or an under-28 starting-caliber lineman, i would be a very happy camper.
